You cannot call anybody's culture or food gross on their face. Period. Especially if they are being so nice and hospitable.
-
Eliās behaviour is so upsetting. You can see how Maria feels discouraged as the video goes on. She was so sweet and patient.
-
Maria is such a kind and elegant hostess. Zero waste food is not exotic, is intelligent, nutricious and creative, as it happens in pretty much all South America.
-
Loved learning about Yakutia; Maria was so kind and patient while explaining the foods. Eli, you should learn a lesson from thisābe respectful when someone is teaching you about their culture.
-
Pro tip: Don't ask what you're eating until after you actually tried it. It's amazing how differently you can experience the taste and texture without that mental block.
-
Maria is so patient. These are her home dishes so she's accustomed to the flavour. It's actually very nutritious food which is probably why Maria is glowing!
-
I admire these people SO much. I wouldnāt last 15 minutes. Iām vegetarian and feel the cold terribly due to a medical condition. I think you have to be very strong and healthy to survive there.
-
Blood sausage is a thing in many places. The whole of UK, Germany, Netherlands, France at the least also do it. I make mine from scratch sometimes.
-
Eli, you surprised me. I expected you to be more tolerant of exotic foods than you were. Your compatriot, Maria was very patient with you. She was truly sweet.
-
Loved the video. Maria seemed quite patient and accepting of her guest. However, I felt as though Eli was critical of every dish and was a little disrespectful of how the traditional dishes looked or tasted like. I felt bad for Maria who kept being polite and she avoided making eye contact with her because honestly, no one would like their traditional dishes to be mocked at or looked down upon. ā¤ļøThat's why I love Davidsbeenhere. He is open minded to food across the world

Admiration, for the indigenous folk; of this culture. The food dishes look hardy and nutritous. Everyone within camera view looks healthy. The men folk look incredibly resilient. The young women folk are attractive with, built-in conditioning; of their home environment. People at the TOP OF THE WORLD š

Maria's gracefulness towards Eli's rude behavior and comments actually prompted me to go to her channel to subscribe.
-
OMG, Maria is the sweetest, she is so polite and kind. What a peaceful influence to be around.
-
i absolutely adored hearing maria talk about each dish and itās origin. she seems extremely soft spoken, kind, and intelligent. i feel i could listen to her forever haha~

Raw fish = sashimi åŗčŗ« , yes a wonderful cuisine in Japan š£(yum yum) Raw horse = basashi 馬åŗć , one of the "under the table" food (hmm, well, the North Eastern Japanese'll say "it's our tradition" too, mostly because in those cold areas, food can stay fresh for long.) It's logical, to choose only those baby horses not surviving the winter well, as nutrition source for humans. The Yakuts are clever, understanding the law of Nature, without decades of learning the complicated difficult "theories" taught in the academia! Thank you for sharing the amazing lifestyle š
-
Eli should quit staring at herself in the camera and be polite and gracious to her friend thatās sharing her culture and cuisine.
-
Omg...the lady (Maria) is sooo softspoken and sweet.
-
Eli can prolly learn a few things from Maria like being respectful, polite and humility which you clearly lacks
-
I am amazed how well you both speak English. I really enjoy learning about how you live.

Iāve watched several videos now showing different families in Yakutia!..Every video was beautifully made and the people so respectfully and beautifully portrayed!..Such beautiful families and all of Yukutiaās people are so friendly!..They have a lot of core values that much of the world could adopt!..They believe in hard work and treating everyone with respect and being friendly to everyone!..I grew up in Eastern Canada and I am used to long, cold Winters!..I would love to visit Yukutia one day!..
