    Yo! So for the unused voicelines, it looks like it has been just speculation by the community whether it's attributed to Vanny or not and the text strings in the files only refer to it as a "Voice" and not explicitly "Vanny"! Though there is some STRONG evidence to support that notion with the graffiti left around the hub world seemingly being the work of Vanny, her being credited in the game for voicework despite not having any lines throughout the game as well as the "Bring him to me." line VERY likely being for Vanny telling Moon to bring her the Glitchtrap plush in the ending - unfortunately, we don't 100% KNOW FOR CERTAIN whether these truly were for Vanny or not. Apologies for assuming the speculation was fact, despite how likely it may be.
  • My guess about those Vanny voice lines was probably that they felt a lot of it was a little too hand-holding. Part of the fnaf community is making theories and trying to decipher puzzles, and having Vanny give instruction on everything would take away some of the satisfaction of figuring it out on your own

    The Roxy first aid game might have been the original way that she gets 'upgraded' to her Ruined version, but they changed that to her just grabbing a mask at the end of her final makeover game.

    11:35 The "H" below the map is what I believe where the game teleports you during either jump scares or the static screen after a jump scare because I remember randomly seeing a letter "H" in the static after I got jump scares a couple times. At first I thought it was the first letter of a hidden code, but I don't know what it's actual purpose is

    I hope the devs explain why vanny was super cut down not only from this game but security breach as well

    Honestly, cutting the Vanny lines was a good call. The silent realization of the player when it comes to the mid-game twist hits a lot harder when it's discovered on your own. Having Vanny essentially spoil it for you before the reveal deflates things.

    Kinda feel the removed Vanny dialog might have made things better, keeps things ominous with only visual hints. Depending on how things go moving forward they could be course correcting the character as Vanny can still be a separate character from Venessa if done right. But yeah, still think Steel Wool completely screwed-up with the character in Security Breach who had so much set up only to fumble horrifically.

    i think some of unused content could've made the game better but i understand the choices to not have it in. the only notable part is the vanny voicelines and while they would give more attention to her, i think they would've also made the overall experiance too handholdy and less mysterious, ig the counterpoint to that is that some parts and secrets were rather vague on how to get or needed knowledge of earlier game mechanics (like the mask) but i do think it was overall the right decision most of the other cut content makes sense and isnt a big loss

    It's so weird how Steel Wool handles arguably the two most interesting characters (Vanny and Monty) in the current FNAF timeline. Both of them are brimming with potential, story, and overall a bit of nuance we haven't seen in a while and YET both are shafted CONSTANTLY! From unused animations to dialogue to straight up cutting them out/lessening their screen times. It's as if Steel Wool has a weird grudge against the very characters THEY created.

    The fact the second ending has that full Vanny model makes me wonder if they were considering putting additional angles in that scene (perhaps for the future flat version). It would be interesting to have a reverse angle from Vanny’s perspective of squishing Glitchtrap, and possibly even seeing the player character. It’s also possible they just started with the full model from Security Breach and never chopped off the bottom half.

    Yeah, I also struggled with the mask puzzle. I figured it out when hippo says to look closely at your hands. I held my hands up to my face, it hilighted something there, and my mind was blown when I took the mask off.

    The fact they didn’t use Monty was a massive missed opportunity. He was one of the only somewhat scary things about Security Breach.
