Matthew Macfayden is amazing in this show. He absolutely captures a character I’ve seen in corporations: smug yet insecure, middle-class pretending to be upper-class, suburban/rural guy who thinks he’s so sophisticated and urbane. It’s like seeing real life.

What I love about this series is nobody seems to be actually working.

I realized that because of how Shiv wanted things "open" in their relationship, and then Greg trying to do the same thing in their "relationship"... even using the word "open" that set him off in so many ways. Every avenue of his life he's being told he's not enough or there's someone better, That's just my opinion. Funny scenes and great actors.

“I WILL NOT LET GO OF WHAT IS MINE” Line says it all, Tom has been made to feel like he isn’t enough and all the things he thought were his are slipping from his fingers, Greg is the last straw

The brilliance of this scene is in the subtext. Tom's reaction is based on the "arrangement" with Shiv, which he really hates, but cannot express. So this rejection, especially when Greg unfortunately frases "... like an open business relationship", triggers all those emotions that Tom had and cannot express properly in that other part of he's life. Brilliant writing and performance.
