  • The Berserk spell in Final Fantasy 2 (at least in the GBA version) at around level 8 can boost your damage so much you can almost one-shot many bosses with it.
  • The homing briefcase is fucking hysterical and it needs to be abused xD
  • What’s funny is that in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Alucard uses the Crissaegrim as part of his moveset as an Assist Trophy. I guess even Smash knows how broken the weapon is. XD
  • One of? No, the Crissagrim is THE best weapon in SotN. Man I love that game.

Honorable Mention: Moxxi's Grog-Nozzle from the Borderlands 2/Tiny Tina DLC. It's a pistol you get for a specific quest that heals you when you shoot enemies (Most of her guns do this, but the Grog has a way higher percent rate). If you complete the quest you lose the gun. But, if you never finish the quest you can keep the gun for the rest of the game.
  • GTA's Vortex hovercraft working equally well - and, indeed, operating identically - on land and on water is actually completely realistic, because that's precisely how they work in real life, because they float over the surface on a cushion of air. They do have difficulty going up slopes, though... and flying is absolutely not something they're supposed to be able to do.
  • The hovercraft in San Andreas sounds great, right up until you get hit by one of the MANY kamikaze planes... Also, here's an honorable mention: in Destiny 2, for a short while the weapon crafting system was bugged... it was possible to combine two completely different weapon types to get a completely overpowered gun. One of the most frequently crafted weapons was an auto rifle that was fast firing but each shot hit like a shotgun slug...

I think an honourable mention should go to the same Suzuki Escudo in Gran Turismo 2, most expensive car in game once ya grind to get it, it can pretty much race in most classes, guaranteed wins and infinite money, just wall ride til finish especially the endurance races 😂
  • The W-Item materia from Final Fantasy VII would certainly fit this list. Thanks to the duplication bug in the OG FF7, you can get 99 of any usable item exploiting this materia, even items that would normally take hours of battle grinding to obtain! Talk about a lifesaver!

10 Video Game Flops The Publishers Can't sweep under the rug
  • It wasn't a single item but a stacked collection in Diablo 2 which created such an over powered Thorns Aura that anything even sneezed at you it would be disintegrated. In the PvP encounters it was unbeatable.
  • @TheDave25s
Although technically never meant to be in players hands, martins fury/thunder from wow. One player accidentally got it and well it lead to many a stolen “worlds first clears” on current (at the time) end game raids. The item when used instantly killed all enemies in a 30 meter radius. This was not limited to npcs btw.
  • @Livingtree32
In Ni no Kuni you can get a griffon familiar very early in the game, that basically turns 90% of the battles into absolute childplay.
  • @sheld0n
Translocator in Unreal Tournament 99 was a short range puck you could throw to teleport somewhere. However if you threw it at a person, you could instantly telefrag them, even if they had full health and armor. It had unlimited use, no reload time, and made dodging enemies easier too by spamming it.

Did Jules seriously just call the Escudo “one of the slower cars” in GT3?!? Fully upgraded that thing has 1881 horsepower! It’s a bloody hill climb legend in real life! When I was a teen, I spent 2 weeks tuning it to perfection and used it to DOMINATE every single race from there on out!
  • @Blargerhonk
They didn't just keep the briefcase, they made it travel slower so it's homing was more comical.
  • @roonkolos
Not an item but 100% is accidentally OP: Dropkick in Dying Light. THE second you get that in game, you see how stupidly busted it can be ♡
  • @BornDepressed
The crisagrim can also do five strikes if you get something at the very edge of it's reach. :)
  • @Tolwrath
I remember a broken item in Battlefield Vietnam that got me banned from many servers. The Booby Trap is a special bomb that you throw on a vehicle, the moment someone gets in that vehicle, it explodes. At least one map has one side spawn on an island. Simply get over there, booby trap all the vehicles, then go hide in the bushes waiting for the next round of vehicles to respawn.
