Resident Evil 4 is a 2023 video game developed and published by Capcom. A remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4, it was released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24, 2023. The game follows the US agent Leon S. Kennedy, who must save Ashley Graham, the daughter of the US president, from the mysterious Los Illuminados cult.
Six years after the events of Resident Evil 2, US agent Leon S. Kennedy is sent on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, daughter of the US president, from a Spanish village controlled by the violent cult Los Illuminados. Other characters include Ada Wong, Leon's operator Ingrid Hunnigan, the civilian Luis Sera, and the antagonists Bitores Mendez, Ramon Salazar, Jack Krauser and Osmund Saddler.
Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. It features "over-the-shoulder" third-person shooter gameplay similar to the original, while drawing from the remakes of Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 3 (2020). Resident Evil 4 features redesigned visuals compared to the original, designed to create a tenser atmosphere, along with new character designs and backgrounds. It offers six controls schemes, including one styled after the original game.
As in the original game, the player organizes their inventory with an "attache case". New to the remake, a crafting system enables the player to create items and ammunition using resources collected throughout the game. The Merchant returns, allowing the player to buy, upgrade, and trade items. He will provide new side quests that may be completed during the main story. Similarly to the original, the primary focus of combat is shooting enemies and reloading. However, Leon can now move and use weapons at the same time, allowing him to evade attacks while firing. Leon can also use roundhouse kicks to injure enemies and push them away, and a new parrying mechanic allows him to block and counter attacks with his knife.

Here lies Mike... the man who was more useful a teammate in the whole of resident evils history than the entirety of the rest of the S.T.A.R.S members combined.
  • Here’s one rule when you’re the main villain: don’t kill the guy everyone likes, unless you want to be John Wick-ed.

Don't worry Mike survived the explosion and found a way off the island and he showed Leon the good bar he knows off screen.
  • For the whole mission I hoped him to survive, but I was aware that it was only an illusion

"I'll make sure you're the next to go, Saddler... OOOF!"
  • I always wondered how in RE4 they curved that RPG round. Also RIP Mike gold standard teammate in Resident Evil.

I bet they gonna do a dlc cenario where Mike survived the crash
  • Fun fact: the pilot from RE5 that came to Chris and Sheva's rescue, got taken down by huge bugs as well.

Great video, I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil 4! Speaking of which, I just finished the latest episode of my own RE4 series on mobile, where I took on Del Lago and El Gigante. It was intense! Keep up the great content!
  • Personally, I feel that the original version of Mike's death was far more impactful. You've only known him for a short moment, but he did his job and cleared a path for you. Leon always appreciates any backup he can get, especially after working the mission essentially alone. Neither he nor Leon were paying attention, Mike paid dearly for it and his death would be almost instantaneous. Whether the RPG did him in or the crash down the cliff, Mike's departure was sudden and took away from the short celebratory moment. The remake however still did a great job, Mike's personality was far more front and centre and he certainly provided a ton more firepower (until the final stretch that is due to munitions). His death felt a little more dramatic, if a little drawn out in comparison. He struggled against imminent death, and Leon of course watched helplessly. Certainly fits the grittier tone of the game, but to me it didn't feel as much of a 'slap you across the face out of nowhere' robbery as the original.
  • In the original the dialogue was that Leon was thanking Mike that's why he told him drinks on him but the remake mike is the one offering him a drink which doesn't make sense, also the way Leon in the original says you're the next to go saddler you can see the pain in his look and eyes but the remake he says it without any emotions
