"He's dead. and you're back on in 10, 9..." worst thing i've ever heard
  • @TheHuskyK9
As a 22 year old adult, I would legitimately sit down and listen Jim Ross' stories. He's the ultimate grandpa
  • @mclovinu69
Just casually signing his autograph in his books while telling a story like a boss.

"He's dead. You're back in 10, 9,..." That is heartbreaking. Such insensitivity for the commentators. As they say, "The show must go on." Still, it's inhumane to expect people to deal with such trauma on a timeline.
  • My Owen Hart story..My one and only wwe show I ever saw was given to me by owen hart. My dad was working for air canada in montreal. A flight was cancelled and he was given a list of passengers that could be transferred into another flight so not to miss destination. My dad saw his name and called him to the front desk and it was him. My dad bumped his ticket fron economie to first class and Owen asked why. So my dad explained the limited seat situation and that his son was a fan and he recognized him. So Owen took my dads info and told him on this day at the molson center in montreal you will have front row tickets...I don't remember the date I was 6 years old lol. My dad took some money because most famous people he saw never came through with what they promise. tickets never receive promised merch. But not him our names were on the list and we had our tickets. ....when going back to the states, they were leaving with air canada again and he saw my dad , he brought all the roster to his counter and I got an autograph of every wrestler on the card.

“Well he’s dead, and you’re back in ten, nine.........” Jesus H Christ that’s horrendous

I was there. An 11 year old kid with his grandpa watching Owen Hart fall to his death. Hearing Jim talk about it really brings back a horrific memory.

I tell you what Jim Ross was on point and spot on when he described the real tragedy of the human condition being addicted to calamity, confusion, chaos and tragedy. I didn't expect that one but right on!

I will never forget that night. I remember exactly where I was, I was 12 years old and watching the PPV in the basement. And Jim announced "I have the unfortunate responsibility to let everyone know that Owen Hart has died." I swear, I can still remember stopping in my tracks and my heart sank. Still gets me.

Owen Hart was HANDS DOWN one of the all-time greats in the WWE. The uncrowned WWE champion in my opinion.
  • @IAmAHeater
I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want to see the accident. Curiosity is a strange thing.

    "Owen's dead and you're back in 10... 9..." That's inhumanity at best
  • When this happened I wrote to the family a letter offering my condolences. I was 12 years old at the time. I remember sitting writing to the family in tears, for someone I’ve never met. I’ve had other deaths actually in my family and never did that. The tragedy changed me, and showed me that life is precious and it’s not promised. I grew up a lot that day.
  • Breaks my heart towards the end when Jr. Expresses how society gets off on badnews than good news :'(
  • Thank you JR. You're an incredible person and much loved by the fans as Owen was. I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife. We are here for you and behind you every step of the way in your life and career, we love you.

He's trying so hard not to cry. Rubbed off on to me
  • I met Owen once in 1988. He was the Blue Blazer then. This was in Philadelphia. His mannerisms and movement made me realize he was the Blazer. But being a HUGE Wrestling fan then...I already KNEW who He was. I approached him introduce myself told him I knew who he was and that I knew he was the Blue Blazer. He said yes! 😀. Which at that time was basically breaking kayfabe. He talked to me for a minute or two and was very kind and gracious. I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since he's gone. Rest in peace Rocket King...🙏
