My favorite opus behind Filosofem ! This ambiance is very very deep !!!

I wish I could go to the forest and turn on this music. Alone. But I done one thing: went to the place, where my dad works alone at night. (It's place like not huge manufactory/workshop(don't know how correctly name this place on english)). Oh, it was sooo nice to listen to Burzum at that place and know that no one will disturb you.

Hvis lyset tar oss - this is probably one of best lyric I ever seen. It's so simple and so deep It contains philosophy and religion. Romance and turpism. Just few verses... All who get Literature Nobels and all who awarded... just read this lyric... hats off and bow down.

Personally, I think that Varg is a very good person as well as being a talented guy. He create that is my lifestyle now Hail Count Grishnackh!

Varg (the person) may not be a great role model but as a musician he's beyond talented!

I think Varg is an excellent role model for ANYONE who believes in supporting their religious beliefs and heritage. I'm in favour of Varg saying our OLD EUROPEAN etc. ways are dying, and should be preserved. Pagan, Christian, or otherwise. Abortion is also killing, but it is something welcomed as a medical procedure. NOBODY should judge another person for their beliefs. If other religious leaders torn down your holy place, and then built their churches and holy places OVER your own...I bet you'd be angered enough to start a war. Which is exactly what's been happening in the Middle East and the USA forever! I served in Iraq, and know this well. I believe in holding TRUE to one's ancient heritage and ROOTS. This is what Varg did. He was AWARE of what he was doing, and KNEW he would get 21 years in prison to pay for his beliefs. He admitted to what he'd done. It doesn't make him a bad role model. Varg wasn't TEACHING others to burn churches over black metal music. He did however show his feelings for his faith in a taboo method. It is up to the individual to behave as they wish, and I bet there's a lot of PAGAN people in his country that felt the same as him, as much as others were opposed. Nobody should be able to kill another person without punishment. In the end, it was a decision. Varg felt his life was in imminent danger, and had been threatened with death from the very person he decided to kill. I don't believe ANYBODY was killed purposefully during the church burnings he carried out. There are a lot of musicians who ARE terrible role models on almost every screen being watched today. They say their lyrics are just freedom of speech regardless of how many times people sing and influence others to shoot people, be a drug dealer..etc etc etc, and these artists are mainstream! We allow our CHILDREN to watch and listen to them. As soon as a musician isn't a top 40 commercial or mainstream entity...you can be guaranteed there's going to be horrible backlash if they spit in somebody's face because they're wearing a black metal t-shirt and leather jacket. But Will Smith gets to INFLUENCE an entire WORLD physically attacking somebody LIVE on the most watched program in the universe...but that's okay...?
