At the 32:40 mark - hearing Steve Perry remark: "I can't be what I once was." OMG, to hear one of the greatest singers of all time say that... that caused an almost visceral pain within me. And what a brutally frank, honest assessment of himself. He may not be able to comfortably sing the songs in the original key... but he is - and always will be - The Voice.

He was a total heart throb back in the day & there's never been any other male singer with a voice that compares to Steve's. He's still handsome, his voice has changed with age, but he still has the fan base & the music we all love.

Because I’d never heard this interview before, I listened and was so blown away by his attitude, just his attitude! back then! Journey has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he has done exactly what he said. This man loves the music that was squeezed out of these guys.........which makes him even more original. And respected. And loved.

Steve is so down to earth, humble and not full of himself. Great statement when he said he didn't care about the accolades and awards, and letting the music speak for itself. Thoroughly enjoy listening to his interviews, this one was one of the best, and we love Steve's laugh. We wish him much happiness, because he deserves it after all of the heartbreaks and losses he has experienced in his life.

I can't listen to enough Steve Perry interviews. He's such a beloved performer, and his interviews captivate what a special guy Steve has always been. Seeing him in the 80s were some of the most wonderful moments of my life, truly. If you knew me in the 70s/80s, you knew I was obsessed with Journey, but above that Steve Perry. His voice touches my ❤️ forever and always.

Their music was and still is the soundtrack to my life. I love music in general but no one else came reach my spirt and my sole like Journey. I am eternally grateful for their talent, their hard work and their dedication. I have to download their library of music but only with Steve Perry. Thank you!
