    Saturn was really underrated!

I have said this many times, but the SEGA Saturn made me the Neo Geo fan I am today. The European release of The King of Fighters '95 really opened my eyes to the wonders of SNK's sprite based masterpieces. It also opened up my wallet further on down the road, when I finally went all in on the Neo Geo CD and then ultimately an AES, but that's another story. That said, despite my name, the SEGA Saturn is still my favourite console of them all - Thanks for the amazing video.❤

Saturn is a great console for Capcom and SNK games.

Neo Geo was a sprite-based beast and way ahead of its time and lasted the longest. Saturn was also great for sprite-based games and the cartridge made it even more so. Superb comparison video. ♥♥

This video is exactly what I've wanted. You do great work! The Saturn (and PS2) seem to be the best alternatives to owning the real thing.

I miss Sega in the capacity of a console platform holder. These were the golden days, times when all platform holders created things more than they bought things in order to compete with one another…

KOF 95 was arcade perfect on Saturn. All Neogeo-Capcom games would be arcade perfect if they would go that way (special cart with ready game data stored on it) but its was an expensive way to do it.

It's interesting that they completely remade the horse racing games, whereas the rest (for the most part) are basically 1:1 ports. I wonder if there's a reason they had to remake those from scratch, dev assets lost perhaps?

Amazing video, AS ALWAYS,Neo GEO WAS A BEAST, WAY AHEAD OF THE TIME IT WAS RELEASED, after years and AGAINST A 32-BITS BEAST (THE BEST 2D GAMES WERE IN THE SEGA SATURN, ARCADE PERFECT PORTS) and the NEO GEO WAS STILL AMAZING AND IN SOME GAMES WAS BETTER, thanks for sharing this vids, that's why this channel is among the BEST YOUTUBE CHANNELS, thanks and waiting your next video.
  • Hahahahaha... Otimo video, muita saude e sucesso!

In some games for Saturn, it like the whole screen has a bit of a blue tinge, and for some Neo Geo games, the whole screen looks kinda faded in comparison. Other than that everything seems identical. When I was a kid, gaming mags frequently pointed out how Saturn was a 2D gaming powerhouse and destroyed PS1 when it came to multiplatform releases in that regard... the number 1 reason I always wanted one, but alas, as a kid my potential to acquire any systems I wanted was limited. And when I saw the price of a Neo Geo I immediately gave up the idea of getting that... and I still need to get one, lol.

"Who wants to play lame boring fighting games on your Neo Geo or Sega Saturn? You should be playing the absolute action packed awesomeness that is Idol Mahjong Final Romance 2! If that's not extreme enough for you checkout Stakes Winner 1 or 2!!" Anyway The Sega Saturn had some great ports of Samurai Shodown III & IV. The visuals and audio were good. Also the Saturn versions of Real Bout Fatal Fury Special and King of Fighters' 97 stood out visually.
Saludos.
  • Saturn is the best console with 2d masterpiece Snk and great 3d gorgeus, Model 2 games 💪❤️
  • @piccolo1906
saturn was built to be a 2D powerhouse. those NEO GEO on saturn were a perfect match
