I've always found it interesting that shows like this and Hogan's Heroes (as an example), managed to throw a little real history into their programs. The American Navy was actually plagued by bad torpedoes that wouldn't detonate and/or ran deeper than they were programed. It was called the Mark 14 and it wasn't until 1943 that they fully discovered and remedied the problems!

Apart from having what i consider to be a very kind and happy face, Tim Conway must have finished filming his parker role with aching facial muscles each day given the number of facial expressions he was required to have in each episode. RIP .
