    I can see head manufacturer contacting you again and saying that they never use anti-sieze on their guides and that you did that to make them look bad.. 😂 i guess some companies just want people to slap their product on and call it good... yet people wonder why we dont trust other people.

    You missed that every valve spring retainer style has a different installed height measurement, some have a big radius on the top, and some have a small step in the bottom. These variations will throw off your retainer lip measurement. Telescopic gauge may work for bbc/bbf however in LS heads it doesn't. Best and most accurate way is a valve hight micrometer

    15 thou on a pushrod motor probably isnt a big deal, but an OHC engine that has rocker style followers like a Datsun L series thats a huge difference.
