In September 2021, the Northern Line of London Underground opened a brand new extension of the Charing Cross branch from Kennington to Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station. Due to other commitments, I waited a few days until sampling the new line for myself.

While travelling on the line, by chance, me and my Dad crossed paths with someone very well known amongst train and tube enthusiast circles of YouTube... Geoff Marshall :) meeting him in person made an already interesting day even better, as he told me details about the stations on the extension, like why they don't have Platform Edge Doors fitted, yet. If you're reading this Geoff, thanks for sparing your time to chat with us :)

Watch to the end to hear my thoughts on the newest addition to the London Underground network...

At the time of filming, trains between Kennington and Battersea Power Station were running every 12 minutes, which works out as for every Southbound Charing Cross branch train going all the way to Battersea, 3 of them terminate at Kennington, using the famous loop to turn round
