One experience I had was, I'm not sure if it was the dealer or who (unlikely it was me), the cap of said hose or neck that fills up the reservoir was not secured or latched properly, so it was sort of sitting there open. And what happened is the heat of the engine started to force the evaporation of the fluid. One day my car gave me the warning of low fluid. I stopped by a Walmart and bought regular winter proof windshield washer fluid. And secured the cap. The problem never reappeared.
