Zack Synder always wanted to work on a Star Wars A-rated project but got rejected. Star Wars moved to Disney for pg 13 content and Zack came up with Rebel Moon

The trailer had me intrigued. I love the mixture of sci-fi and fantasy

This was originally supposed to be a Star Wars movie that Zack pitched to Disney before he did Man of Steel. Disney turned it down since it was too "mature".

I see this as more of a teaser for parts 1 & 2 combined. I think around October time we'll get a more story-based trailer for part 1.
