I Built The Notre Dame Cathedral in Minecraft and It Wasn't Fun | Minecraft Ep. 11

Published 2019-12-13
In this minecraft build I attempt to make the notre dame de paris cathedral on a prime piece of real estate. This pro build was a huge challenge, but I think it might just be worth it in the end because it is a magnificent example of gothic architecture. Let me know in the comments, should I build more gothic churches?

Notre Dame is "our lady" meaning the virgin Mary de paris is of Paris

So I am no stranger to big builds myself. I did a mega build of Karosta Cathedral on creative that took nearly a year, but was super detailed and was little to no information on dimensions, so I basically winged it from photos and it turned out great . Recently I have fallen in love with Notre Dame and wanted to challenge myself by doing on the same 1:1 scale but on Survival. I've spent nearly a month so far setting up a storage facility, farms, gold/iron farms, rails etc and just yesterday started plotting out the 130 x 50 site. I'm super excited to get the project under way, but its certainly people like yourself who have inspired me to keep moving forward. Hopefully it will turn out as good as yours. 😁😁

How did you know how many blocks wide the pillars were just by looking at the drawing? I can’t figure out how to lay down the outline because I don’t know how big things are
