what i will never understand how is jane at least in this episode an angel here on earth, and yet in a few episodes time she will be the devil among us, how can one persons attitude and outlook change simply just like that, i know that not only is sharpe a drama so we need things to go wrong so sharpe can face the enemy, and can show what a hero he is, but the enemy is usually the french, not his very pretty young wife, who although has been no doubt used and abused by others all her life, and when she finally gets her freedom, pays it all back, i for one will never believe anything about bad about her, and as i fell in love with her the moment that i saw her, and for this lovely young woman to change so much in later episodes, and i still don`t believe this about her, i call this bad writing, who ever usually writes the scripts for sharpe well you really fell down when you turned jane into the devil incarnate.
