Poland's results in the EU elections have reaffirmed its two-party political tug-of-war between Tusk's Civic Platform and the PiS who are rising in the polls. In this video, we'll explain why this is happening and what it means for Poland's future.

This headline is false… if anything public support for the PiS is still polling below their 2023 result. Furthermore every coalition has troubles. The Confederation alliance is also ignored in this video, they have seen actual growth in support.
  • Except pis is not on the rise? Rulling coalition has problems but that doesn't mean that pis doesn't have problems as well
  • @ukaszdrukaa8326
Every time I watch a TLDR vid on my country I realize how many important details are skipped over in their videos...
  • "Bro, Lepper hasn't been the leader of PiS. He was the leader of Samoobrona (which literally means Self-defense). From 2005 to 2007, PiS had two coalition partners. The first was Samoobrona, and the second was LPR.

Funny Englishmen doesn't understand Polish politics. Understandable. Have a nice day
  • I'm from Poland and this movie is a masquerade. If you present news from foreign political scenes in the same way as from Poland, I don't know if you are a trustworthy source.
  • @iwopawowski9326
Dude man (Andrzej Lepper) acused for sexual harasment was diferent party called ,,Samoobrona". (Selfdefence)!
  • PiS is not on the rise, there is literally a group of their politicians wanting to leave for a New Party.
  • @YoshiRotar333
1:50 - Not it's leader, but as the article said - deputy prime minister - which was leader of the coalition party to PiS - Samoobrona (Self-Defence of the RP). And it was cut short because everybody hated Lepper's guts(afromentioned deputy prime minister), due to his corruption alligations, sexual harrasment alligations and him simply being a jerk. Having that in mind PiS called for an early elections hoping for new majority without Samoobrona but instead, that election was won by Civic Platform.
  • Extreme clickbait. video at all isn't about the right-wing oppositions rise, more about the problems and internal issues facing the current coalition. Yes by proxy that woiuld mean the opposition would be seen more favourable, but it's not the important part of the video at all.
  • Clickbait thumbnail at the very start .. 🤦‍♂ edit: Seems this has been fixed to a better one
  • @TheHal90000
You messed up this time. 1. We don't literate "PiS". 2. If TD, Left and Civic Platform formed a common list, they would have a thumping majority (Hondte system) 3. They will form common list because TD's and Left's polls are disaster. 4. Lepper (sexual harasser) wasn't PiS leader. In fact these two PiS ministers were recently jailed because they persecuted this Lepper guy. 5. Head of Supreme Audit Office isn't necessarily corrupt. He just...owns a brothel? 6. Abortion liberalization is already dead in the water for a day or two. 6. It all boils down to who will become our president in 2025. We have no idea who will run.
  • @krisdaschwab912
Wait, what? PiS is falling in the polls. The problem is that Konfederacja is the primary beneficiary.
  • @Dbnfkdifiekdndn
By now I watch so much TLDR (literally every video) that I can mute the video and speak the repetitive phrases from memory
  • @brianwings6908
This is pointless. Polls will continue shifting over the next 3 years and ofc coalitions are difficult to run.
  • Thought that TLDR is a reliable source of information but it turns out that it isn't. Lack of knowledge, silly extremely silly mistakes. TLDR is creating a fake image of the situation in Poland. TLDR is failing to show that PiS is also struggling. As a result of this struggle former PiS Agriculture Minister , currently MP resign as a member of the party. The turmoil in Lesser Poland local parliament where PiS won majority where for weeks they couldn't elect their leader, causing tensions between local PiS members and the party headquarters. PiS is also tired of Kaczynski. Some MPs spoke about it out loud that leadership must change. The list of issues within the paty is far more complicated than Tusk happy coalition. Tusk is aware that with Duda in office it'll be difficult to do anything. 2025 election will be crucial for Tusk's government.
  • @ZeroCGR2
I think worth mantioning is the Konfederacja. A far-right party which has been slowly getting more support as Left and Third Way are loosing theirs. Also consider the fact the incumbent president keeps disagreeing with Goverments ideas. Even if the abortion law passed (it failed by three votes) Andrzej Duda already announced he would veto the law.
