If you’ve even switched on your TV briefly over the last decade, you’ll know Saoirse Ronan’s face well. The Irish actress began her career when she was just nine years old, but it was her role as the precocious Briony Tallis, opposite Keira Knightley in Atonement in 2007, that really propelled her to fame. Since then, she has made herself a household name with films such as Brooklyn, Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird and Little Women – scooping a Golden Globe, four Oscar nominations and five BAFTAs in the process.
