This man is an Earth warrior (one who cares). To the international people who view the man in this clip, this gifted man, Xavier Rudd, writes his own music and is seen here producing a continual sound thru an Australian aboriginal didgeridoo which requires a difficult technique called circular breathing to produce the non-stop sound. To perform this way he has to be superbly fit. A normal deep breath intake cannot be taken when playing the didgeridoo. Circular breathing is akin to filling, “your mouth with water and pushing it out in a stream using your tongue and cheek muscles. Next, breathe in and out through your nose while making the stream. Repeat step four but, before your lungs empty, fill your cheeks and mouth with air and inhale quickly and deeply through your nose.” Of course in this clip there is no water but the method applies the same principal using only air. Try doing this with two didgeridoos and playing drums at the same time. In the background one can hear a bird call, it is that of an Australian Kookaburra, a member of the Jackass family. Xavier Rudd has written many songs and is not that widely known but, he writes great music with a great message. Listen to all of his songs as he is a friend of the planet.

I want this song in my coffee. The energy here is better than caffeine.

I remember 2005 sitting in the hot sun of Wakarusa and suddenly hearing the most beautiful music coming from the sun up stage! My friends and I rushed over to see Xavier alone on the stage creating music I had never heard a whole band create. Been a huge fan ever since.

The didge is a very underappreciated instrument
  • Just close your eyes, and let it go.... feel the music and imagine a perfect world like you wish....

What a genius. Stuff like this should be top of the charts unlike the shit they play these days
  • A- bloody- amazing. The didgeridoo vibrates musically on another level! And Xavier soo tuned in, The Great Mother Blesses you Warrior. Namaste.
  • Saw him Sunday night at the Crocodile in Seattle, about 5 feet from stage...so grateful to have had a couple hours at the feet of a master musician and a beautiful human being. It was so uplifting, will never forget.
  • In the spring of 2015, I was in Milwaukee for a work conference. The meetings were at the stadium where the “Bucks” play and the conference hotel was less than a mile away. Some folks were waiting for the shuttle bus back to the hotel… when I decided to walk. Suddenly maybe five minutes into the walk, it started pouring rain like a shower… I sprinted for coverage into an old gymnasium type of building, there seemed to be folks coming and going from the building. I found a side door open. Due to the fact I was wearing a Sport Coat, no one questioned my presence or purpose… as it turned out it was an Xavier Rudd concert (general admission) in a smaller venue. Unfamiliar with him or his band I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stick around. His second or third song was “Lioness Eye”. After witnessing his musical genius, I was hooked! I have been a fan since! Amazing!
