I’m gonna disagree on depth of cut. People say it’s preference but it’s not. The gullets are for cooling the blade so the blade depth should be to the bottom of the gullet.

Why do carpenters in my area lock the saw’s guard opened and turn it upside down when they dont use it? When i walk by the blade is still spinning opened.
