Legit imagine trying to break up with somebody and they just start singing like this
-
How can any man walk out on her after this
-
If you ever feel you are being unappreciated, underestimated, or undervalued, remember that Jennifer Hudson (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards winner) finished SEVENTH on American Idol.
-
As far as I’m concerned, this is the best vocal performance in the history of cinema and she earned that Oscar.
-
If people consider this yelling, I wish I could yell like this haha.
-
She got an oscar for this movie, she deserved it 😭
-
2023 and she still gives me the chills. Such a powerful voice.
-
As difficult as the vocals in this song are, the fact that she was acting so intensely and also voicing the pain of the character she was portraying, ALL AT ONCE, is just brilliancy beyond description. 10 minutes after I finished watching this and I am still stunned. True artist Jennifer is.. ❤❤
-
This is not yelling, it’s called having a strong voice
-
How to win an oscar in 4 minutes and 46 seconds.❤
-
At the end of this scene, I turned to my husband and said "I think this girl just won an Oscar". She did. One or maybe THE best performance in movie history.
-
She EARNED this Oscar!! She is damn talented & up there with Whitney & Christina.
-
When we went to see this movie, people actually started clapping and cheering after this scene like we were at a live show! That’s how amazing this is 😂
-
“One of the hardest songs in the world”
-
Bet the judges of American idol are kicking themselves over this one...
-
Almost 2024 & still has one of the best vocal voices of ALL times. She is right there with Whitney!
-
Jennifer STOLE the show in this movie, so glad she got awarded with an Oscar!! Eddie Murphy was great too btw, he deserved to be recognize too
-
When I saw this in the theater, the entire audience stood and applauded when she finished this. I have never seen anything like it.
-
Will never understand why such incredible singers like her don’t have the kind a success others without half her talent do
-
My interpretation for the empty theater at the end where she screams “You’re gonna love me!” was not aimed at Curtis but rather the world that she wasn’t going to give up on her dreams of being a singer and that everyone will love her once she makes her big break.
