Fan theory - Mon Calamari are naturally adept space combat strategists and commanders as being an aquatic species they grew up dealing with problems in 3 dimensions more efficiently than land based species.
  • "The Imperial Star Destroyer has the most over-exposed bridge" MC75: "Hold my beer"

Out of all the ships in the star wars series, mon calamari cruisers are always the most creative. Star Destroyers, sure , they have firepower. But Mon calamari cruisers has so much character to them.
  • This an example of why Rogue One is by far the best Disney era SW film and honestly in my top 5 of all SW films too, the people behind it just got SW, they were loyal to the canon but any new additions made sense in both design and in the story.
  • Mon Cal ships are just wonderful pieces of design. The MC75 has a super striking silhouette

MC75 is my favorite new capital ship addition. Seems when ever they do new additions the the civil war era they always hit it out of the park. Like the U-wing
  • "...fell victim to a lethal boarding action..." yeah, composed by one guy, freaking Vader being more awesome in a 3 minutes scene than in the whole Star Wars saga or animated spin-offs. That scene made the whole movie for me.
  • @CT-Clone
I'm sad we haven't seen more of the MC75
  • When I first Saw Rogue One, I thought the MC75 was Just a really big and slick Nebulon Frigate...
  • The Profundity's bridge placement might be profoundly stupid. But I appreciate the added layer to the Rebellion's desperation. "But, sir! The command center is far too exposed!" "But it's what we've got. Bolt as many of the refurbished turbolaser batteries on it as you can."

The Battle of Scarif is still to this day my favourite space battle in (canon) Star Wars. Of course, it doesn’t even come close to how brilliant some of the space battles of the Old Republic era were, but, Raddus’ flagship played a rather large part of that. Now, where did I park my Eternal Fleet...
  • @LSOP-
Info in this video straight from star wars Armada: 80%
  • I oftentimes think that some star wars ships of battle aren't well made, or have many faults, then I remember they came out of a thousand years without a massive war, without the mass production of dedicated warships. For those not keeping up (not an insult btw) during the first world war, antiquated tactics we're not on par with designs or technological advancements, leading to many horrendous mistakes being made, prior to world war 1, there hadn't been a big war in just 40 years, so it's more than safe to assume that many of their typical ship designs and tactics we're ill suited for the conflicts they were employed, leading to multiple faults as a result.
  • IT'S A DEATHTRAP Just kidding. It's a really cool ship. I like the submarine/boat keel style and the slight bumps on its hull, giving that organic texture to it.
  • @Tracer_Krieg
One of the few new Disney Canon ships of an original design that is actually aesthetically cool looking and functional as a vessel in military engagements (though the exposed bridge is an obvious weakness, it's more than made up for the fact that like all Mon Cal ships, the MC-75 comes packing with excellent shields and armor platting).
  • @Vkruger76
Funny thing... although this vessel was supposed to be as well armed as mentioned, the cruiser in Rouge One did not fire a single shot... none of 12 torpedoes launches did fire a single warhead... instead just watched space fight while of X-Y Wings over Scarif have tried to penetrate shields of ISD or Planet itself using their torpedoes... some bad thinking on Rebellion side or just a script misjudgment :)
  • @pux0rb
I loved the design of this ship. My favorite scene was when Admiral Raddus is inside the inverted glass dome of the bridge looking down at the fighting below. Reminds me a lot of the control car on a rigid airship.

Could you do a video on Dominion battleships and battlecruisers? Theres not much easily accessible and collected data on those.
