Pretty much an arcade accurate port to the Sega Saturn of Space Harrier released in 1996 as part of the Sega Ages collection. If it is not clear by now I am quite the fan of these Sega Super Scaler games.

Not much to say on this one. Its just a single run through the game which runs at a smooth 60fps. No extra modes were unlocked at the end. Some secret options not shown here include being able to change the shadow strength (Saturn mode) to make shadows a little darker (from what I can tell) which might help with targeting. No arranged music in this version. -

  • Just purchased this for my beloved Saturn. Gonna use the 3d pad!!! I had to have it. First seen this game as a kid in the arcades and stood mesmerized lol One of my all time favorites.
  • this game is 36 years old, that must mean i'm officially old too, because i remember when this hit the arcades. it aged better than me.

The game over worm has evolved (AVGN reference)
  • This game, in my opinion, is a classic Sega 3D rail shooter that sets the standard for later shooters. On the Saturn, this game rocks !!!!

7:50 - looks like someone found the Turbo option. My all-time favorite arcade game, and this looks to be a fantastic port. Almost no slow-down at all - I only saw one hitch-up as the game tried to load in a stage boss. Also, I always loved how those robot enemies are very clearly lifted from the DOM units in Mobile Suit Gundam, but with a different head piece.

Not even a single person uploaded a playthrough of 3D Space Harrier for the Nintendo 3DS.
