Fun fact: When I was 6 my mum worked behind the scenes in Harry Potter and there was a few weeks where she had to take me with her to work cause my father had to go to the office and I actually met all the characters that speak in the cast and when some of the sets were empty my mum was allowed to take me to look at them I was even told what house I'd be in (Slytherin) Tom Felton (Draco) actually told me I looked adorable when my eyes glowed at the sight of the castle and how it looked and he also thought it was cool that I was in Slytherin as Draco Malfoy is and Draco was my favorite character

The mascot is an eagle because of what it represents- intelligence, wit, wisdom, creativity... And no animal better represents that, especially Ravenclaw's main trait, intelligence, than a raven.
