my cousin Simone was a teacher for me in life, one tragic day, on Tuesday 15 February 2022 he had a cerebral hemorrhage and died! When we celebrated his funeral, we played and sang Celtic music for him and also Pokemon music, in particular the song by Celebi Wrapped Up in Light and Goodbye Lucario. Watching this film again without Simone, I see myself in Lucario, and I see Simone in Sir Aaron, he was my teacher and my best friend! and one day, when I too die, I will be reunited with Simone, who like Sir Aaron, has been waiting for me, for a long time, in a distant blue sky, and now this song is all to me , we will meet again, one day

This song has a deeper meaning to it when you realize this movie was the last thing to feature the original voice actors.
  • God this amazing. Farewell to the years of being young, the years of being careless, the years of watching pokemon with sheer enjoyment. We will meet again one day

Such a fitting song for Ash and Pikachu knowing their journey is coming to an end

Who is here after learning that Ash's saga ends in the anime.
  • This song hits even harder after learning that the journey of ash and Pikachu is ending
  • Here’s something I noticed, the song is called “we will meet again” in this movie Lucario sacrifices himself to bring life back to the tree of beggining, but now in 2021 Ash has a Lucario which is said to be stronger than an average Lucario (I might be wrong, but that’s what I’ve heard) I think it is no coincidence, I believe that Ash’s Lucario is a reincarnation of the Lucario of this film, Ash is said to be a Reincarnation of Sir Aaron, they did meet again like the song said but not in the way we thought

This movie made me cry as a kid. What was it with pokemon and having such emotional death scenes? On a side note, I have a story about buying this movie. It was around Christmas and my mom took me to Best Buy, I brought my savings with me to get something, and settled on this movie. When we got to the counter, an older gentleman asked if we wouldnt mind him paying for my movie. He explained that his son had loved pokemon as a kid, and was now grown up and moved away. He said he missed buying these kinds of gifts for him, so was asking would it be alright if he bought it for me. I still think about that a lot, I hope that guy is doing well.
  • Thank you for everything Ash and Pikachu! Your legacy will forever live on!!!
  • These two had such a profound impact on millions of peoples lives throughout the years. Its almost like saying goodbye to someone you grew with as a person knowing they will never be back.

Lucario and Ash finally met again 👏🏾
  • I just got the movie yesterday and cried. This is the most emotional Pokemon movie and this song made me cry. Tried real hard to get this movie, been wanting to watch it for so long, and now I was able to and made me cry. I just love the movie. I love Lucario.

Amazing. And Ash won the Galar League /World Coronation Tournament with a Lucario in the Team
  • This movie is probably the reason I love Lucario as much as I do. My Lucario is part of a Double Battle duo I created along with my Gallade. Their names are Lancelot and Galahad (most of my team is named after Knights of The Round Table, which is probably also due to this movie). I still have the DVD somewhere too!

One thing I like about this song is it has a nice rock guitar playing and makes me sound nostalgic for 80 to 90s music and I think it fits it very well.
