This tutorial only applies to the legacy version on Steam; after the developers released a patch update, the weapon swap glitch no longer works. For this tutorial to be applicable for your speedruns, you must revert the update via Steam. (this run can't be done on Xbox One or Switch)

You forgot the most important strat, which is to yell Spanish curse words any time you take damage.

If you are doing all bosses, you can skip the part of the devil fight where you are under ground by going next to the hole and crouching and holding left while firing the peashooter. This happens because the devil has a hidden hit box which can only be hit by crouching and aiming left and there is a small bit left after the fire wall stops moving that is unaffected by it. I hope this helps if anyone wants to do all bosses.
