There wasn’t a single imagineer that said hey, maybe we just base this on the actual movie?

Disney once made a Haunted Mansion with 999 souls. They've now created an entire mountain without one.

It’s The Journey Into A Lack Of Imagination Ride!!
  • @19kilo241
The greatest missed opportunity in Disney parks history is to leave out Facilier and not have “are you ready!???” playing while going up the lift hill for the final drop.

The technology improved, the creativity backpeddled. Hard pass.
  • Which imagineer is the self-inserted middle aged woman posing as Tiana in this atrocity? Disney is the killer of childhood memories and dreams.
  • @laurduncan
Lets repeatedly put Tiana in an outfit she isn't known for by any of her fans.

Right...so Disney tears down Splash Mountain because it was "racist", and rethemes it based on Avery Island, where there was a salt mine worked by slaves, and that's not racist? Disney execs need to stop doing things to satisfy 1% of the population, and get back to Walt's idea of wholesome family fun. The ride itself is complete rubbish. It is boring, has no soul, and barely represents "The Princess and the Frog". I feel sorry for Disney shareholders, as the company is doing it's best to lose millions of dollars and millions of fans, all in the name of pushing a social agenda. Bloody pathetic.
  • And the sad part is that we had THIS replace Splash Mountain, what a downgrade indeed 😭😭😭

This ride represents everything wrong with modern Disney.
  • I had low expectations for what the current gen of Imagineers could do with this retheme and they didn't disappoint.
  • @jimmyturner4045
This new ride is like the Direct to DVD sequel version of a Disney ride.
  • @JohnS-ki2zf
This ride showcases all the issues of modern imagineering. Expensive animatronics take the place of well populated scenes, lots of dead space with nothing to look at. Overly sanitized story with no conflict drama or tension.

As a Disney fan and been to the parks many times. This was the most boring thing I ever witnessed. No story, no tense moments and no fun unlike it's far more fun and successful predecessor... Splash Mountain deserved better. TK stamp of disapproval!

Imagineering has lost its creativity and storytelling ability, this is a disaster of epic proportions
