There is no such thing as too much light in your garage. In this video, I walk you through the steps of connecting an adjustable (deformable) Beyond Bright Garage LED light to your garage door opener. When this project is complete, all you have to do is hit that garage door remote button and light up the night! This project is simple, affordable, and clearly will get the job done....

I do not have a garage, I enjoyed your video, I adore your sense of humor - I watched it right to the end, your one funny man. Montreal, Quebec

I just did this upgrade using the light extension linked in your description. It was very simple and is a huge improvement. Thanks for posting this.

I remodeled my double-garage 6months ago and did this hack on both my 20 year old Sears Craftsman openers and WOW just lovin the output.

Thank you for this video! The short and rigid extender was unappealing to me, so I found a 6.6 FT E26 socket extender on Amazon that uses a cord instead of a metal conduit and hung my LED from the ceiling. Now I can see in the garage when the door opens! Thank you once again for sharing your innovative improvement.

Awesome, I was literlly going to brighten up my mother-in-laws garage until I saw this. Never new this extension existed. Just ordered two. Thanks for the video.

I also had no idea an extender existed. I ordered a 2-pack that's offered through your link. Thank you so much!
  • Timing is everything! Last night I was thinking about splicing the wing light into the garage door circuit. GREAT vid, as entertaining as informative. Definitely subscribe.

I'm a little late to the table, but watched your video the other day, ordered the components that day, package arrived today and I installed. This works great. Thank you for the video!

This is a genius idea. Gonna be installing my opener soon and i wanted a way to tie an existing led shop light to it so I didn't have to run another switch. Thanks for the great video.

Loved this and I have installed them in my garage. What a difference! Super video and I highly recommend this simple improvement to any garage. The only thing Im concerned about is that it does not interfere with the garage remote like some LEDS do. So far Ive had zero issues with interference but I have awesome light in the garage now.

You are a genius. I was about to pay an electrician to wire me a fixture so I could put one those lights up. Thank You!!!
  • Did it tonight on a craftsman belt drive, worked great! Good idea, much brighter now!

I didn't know that extension existed?!?!? I'm definitely adding that LED light to the garage door. I'm glad I came across your channel.

Nice video and thanks for the information. I actually put one of these LED lights in my attic for more lighting after the HVAC service guy kept telling me that there wasn't enough light (our main unit is in the attic).
  • @bluzzjazz
Thanks for posting. I just put two LED tri-lights in the back of the garage, replacing the floods. I'd like more light in the front and this gets rid of that pathetic corkscrew light! Perfect!!

This literally saved my life. Well done and simple. Thanks.

Pretty cool setup. I’m going to buy a couple for my work shop next week. Thank you
  • @timerider313
Wow, I never knew about that extension. Thanks for sharing!
  • @RedHeadAvenger
I got these lights last year but never thought about adding one to my GDO. Great idea.
  • @AT99_TKT
I like your idea. I bought a set of two of those LED lights. I put one up in the middle of the garage ceiling and the other one has been sitting in the box. Now I can use both of them. 👍🏼😀
