Funnily enough, there is some science behind having narrower ironsights, as it makes your eyes focus more. It's why eye doctors will sometimes give you an eye cover with holes in it if you're struggling.

I've been using zero point since i got it and never replace it with any other skins. I just like the simplicity of the skins, like there's zero distraction, everything is kept minimal. Other reason is that it looks aesthetically pleasing with voild walker

I like the zero point more despite never having it. I mean, look how huge the difference at the bottom plus the distance between the iron sight and the red-dot crosshair is so wide you can basically treat it as an 1xHCOG.

It's preference. Zero point just has more room in the sight itself. The part where you're actually aiming and looking. I really could care less about two tiny bars sticking up on either side. Evolving one is way bigger overall and takes up more of the screen.

Zero point is imo the best r99 skin. For a long time i used to hate it too but im using it for a few seasons now and fell in love. Many people want me to skin their r99 in game :p

I think while screen space as an absolute indicator isn't particularly bad, for the most part people are focused on the immediate area around the crosshair itself. This makes it easier to track a target since they're less likely to get blocked by parts of your ironsight if your crosshair strays from them. Larger "flair" parts of the gun usually don't make as big of an impact since they're blocking parts that you're not likely to be focused on in the first place, hence they don't change the feel too much.

Picked this up from a death box yesterday and dropped 15 kills. Used to have it on my old account and it’s the only skin that I’m longing for till this day. The irons just do something for me like I can fit the whole enemy in the sight perfectly and just beam

I really get the visual preferences thing you mention. I prefer any of the skins with the tube on its side for the r99 because it feels like the vertical recoil is way easier to handle with the gun being wider horizontally. such weird things influence choises more than logical screen space

The better your aim, the more important the cross hair space is and the less important the other obstructions are. Large obstructions are a problem when your aim falls off the target a lot, but if you're consistently keeping them in your sight then it's much more important to be able to see them in the immediate space around the reticle.

the reason i love the zero point is that it's a nice middle ground between having somewhat p2w iron sights and a slimmer body compared to those like the kill switch

I love simple clean designs. Zero is one of those that just feels and looks good. The color isn't all flashy and in your face. But as you said we all have preferences.

Hey Mokey, I'm trying to figure out about this movement technique I pulled of my accident a while back. About as you try to slide off a ledge while your at the right spot you will drop faster then usual, I've done it a couple times, but everytime I was paying more attention to avoid getting shot then then the bottom timing and placement. I know your one of the best at figuring these things out and how they work and would love to see if you can figure it out.

Obstruction around the dot is more impactful than obstruction around the other portions of the gun (in my opinion). I want as much visibility around the actual dot as possible, so I can make micro-adjustments on a strafing opponent with as much clarity as possible. This is exactly why I prefer Zero Point.
