Persian cats are one of the most popular cat breeds in the world, placing 4 th in the Cat
Fancier’s Association 2017 list of cats registered in the US. The number one is the Exotic
Shorthair, a cat bred to the standards of the Persian cat, expect for their shortened coat.
These standards are much sought after, but the great variation within the breed can

  • Our Raja was 25 yrs old when he “left us.” His only ailment was deafness at 23. Great cat who grew up with dogs & thought he was a dog!!

Not all the graphics matched up with the commentary so its quite difficult to understand what was being explained, especially if you are talking about one type and then the picture is something totally different.

Thanks for your informative information about Persian Types. My favorite breed
  • I have had a Siamese and a Persian, today we were given an 8 month Himalayan boy, he is absolutely adorable😍😍

Aww they are so cute and beautiful! Now I want to adopt them! I always have a soft spot for Persian cats, especially the white long haired ones! That cat @ 0:53 reminds me of my first cat who was a pure white Persian.

I watched this with my Molly perched on the back of the couch, watching intently. She's a Shaded Silver Tabby Persian and absolutely gorgeous in every way. She's adorable, and incredibly intelligent, and she loved the video.

I had a Blue Point for about 15 years. The most chill cat ever.
  • My Little Elon is a precious Persian and I don't know what I would do without her. She is amazing! Saying hello and thank you for this video from MA.

My shaded silver Persian passed in January. He was 16. What a close bond we had. I got him when he was 10 weeks old. I miss him terribly.

This made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because it feels like I am watching my own persian, sadness gets into my heart because he just recently passed away. 😭

My fiance has two cats, both of them flat faced with tiny ears and small body build. We don't know if they just are mixed with many breeds or not cause he took them in after their original owners got a child and the cats weren't happy anymore in that place. Coco is white with long fur and her sister, Mino has a little shorter fur with multiple colors like orange, white and gray spots. Mino has a power chin as I like to call it cause it's more out than it's supposed to be. Coco and Mino fight for my attention haha. They have agreed on when I'm in the living room it's Mino lap cuddle time and in bed it's Coco baby cuddle time. I love both of them so much. I didn't really like cats with flat faces until I met them. Now my favorite cat kinds are the ones with flat faces. They're so adorable

I have a ultra face dilute tortie color piont with blue eyes. I love her dearly
  • The "Himalayan" they showed was actually a Sacred Cat of Burma. There were plenty of cats that weren't persian (I think, I've owned persians for 17 years, but I may not know everything haha).
  • My beautiful Persian only lived to be 13 but it was 13 awesome years. RIP Peep.

Thank you! I finally am able to determine what type of Persian my kitten was I only knew he was a traditional one but now I know he is a chinchilla. He is white with black stripes covering on top all over, his name is Smokey and I hope I can get a Siamese female so they can have a cute little family of Himalayan kitties!
