I still can't believe the news. DOOM faced so many hardships throughout his life and still managed to accomplish so much, I hope he at least passed peacefully. Edit: In light of DOOM's cause of death being revealed on 4/7/23, it sounds like his last moments were hell, it also sounds like he'd still be with us if the hospital he stayed at hadn't horribly mismanaged his treatment. Another person lost because medical professionals didn't do their job right. I get that COVID made hospitals a crowded mess, but this is still just horrendous. It almost feels like hearing that the died again. R.I.P. Dumile Daniel Thompson. You deserved much better.

I found DOOM when I was in 9th grade. I was a painter and did ceramics. Whenever I felt unmotivated to work on a piece, I’d put on my headphones, put on DOOM, and get lost in the piece. He helped bring the out the creative side of me. I genuinely never felt personally sad hearing of an artist’s death, but DOOM’s death made me tear up…still remember hearing the news. I was in the car, I put on Doomsday and just sat back like ‘damn, not DOOM’
