Walking tour of downtown Seattle in mid June 2022. Begins at around 10:30 AM on a weekday at First Hill and ends in Pioneer Square. Covers Freeway Park, Washington State Convention Center, Westland Center (shopping/commercial district), Pike Place Market and Seattle Waterfront. A glimpse at what downtown Seattle looks like as the city transitions from spring to summer.

A little bit about me...

My name is Dennis aka Lao Ocean (also aka Dr. Wtpho, but more about that later) and I'm a Lao American YouTuber based in Seattle, WA. Seattle has been my home since 1980. My videos and vlogs consist of walking tours in Seattle and abroad, travel, and things related to the Lao diaspora. I drink way too much coffee, eat pho 20PHO7, and also make food and food review videos. 🤓✌️

My girlfriend and I went there last March for a week and let me tell you, it looks cleaner now than before. I fell in love with Seattle because of the weather and how easy it is to navigate the city and shoutout to the people that recommended some good place to eat while we’re there! Need to go back there again ASAP!

I just wanted to thank you. Im taking my family to Seattle at the end of the month and we are staying downtown. I was a little worried at first, but after watching your videos the last couple months it looks like it has been cleaned up. Thanks for the peace of mind!
  • I don’t care what anyone says, I love Cheesecake Factory! It’s comfort food, for sure. I was just downtown yesterday and it feels better than it did a few months ago. Not perfect by any means, but definitely an improvement. Loved this walk ☺️

Just got back from Seattle and walked everywhere. It's easy. I walk just for the exercise and also to digest my food after a meal. I feel that you see more when you walk. I did take the bus over to Bellevue and had lunch there.
  • Waterfront looks so good. Lots of food. I'm a youtuber too and I really enjoyed your video. Subscribed!

👍AWESOME... What an excellent video Mr. Ocean. A beautiful day in Seattle; I have an affinity for your wonderful city and you show it off so well I long to be there... I'd like to be with you the day you walk the whole city; I'm sure your stories and descriptions of the city would make that walk a time to remember. You show a lot of the same things, but your narration makes it seem new in many ways. Thanks for the wonderful content Mr Ocean. I don't know about all the short stuff you are thinking about; of course I will try to consume all your content, but I like all your long walks/talks. Show what you need to show, and , again, thank you Sir...✌️

Fun fact: Gameworks (next to the Regal on Pike) is set to re-open with new management in July after closing its doors last year due to Covid! I am so excited, it is such an awesome bar-cade to meet up during cons

Thanks for this. I got a glimpse of what Seattle looks like now. Especially downtown. I love to walk too. But hearing about the crimes in 3rd/Pike/Pine worries me a lot. Will visit in Mid Oct.

Hi, thanks for your wonderful videos! I came across your channel last night and am obsessed. I live in the NYC metro area and am thinking about moving to Seattle in a couple of years. Your walking and driving tours are a fantastic way to get to know the city until I can arrange to visit. And it's so lovely getting to know you. I'm so happy to have found your channel!
