How to Create An Art Journal From A Composition Notebook

Published 2021-08-13
Hey all! I created a video on how to start and create an art journal from an inexpensive composition notebook. You can buy them at any dollar store or back to school supplies and use what you have at home from your stash! Art journaling, glue book or a daily planner! I will give you a small flip through of the few I have completed and new that I have started! It's a great way to get inspired using any of your already purchased items! I hope you enjoy the video and much love! Dee Dee 💕

I’m an artist (oil painter) & writer but I’ve started doing online classes, drawing, copperplate calligraphy, etc. Plus I’ve gotten into card making & scrapbooking. I figured this was my next little journey. I have a numerous amount of journals that I’ve received as gifts and wanted to use a couple as junk journals. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for sharing how you use a plain notebook and turn into your own journey of beauty.♥️ You are a very gifted artist. I wish you much creative blessings.
  • I've been wanting to start taping into make these! And an altered book for my Cancer Journey. Thank you as always chickadee!

I use washi tape to tape the outer edges of the 2 pages together. No wrinkles! I can also slide a piece of chipboard between the pages when I work. So fun!
  • Love your journals and your ideas! I’m going to try my hand at this!! Looks like fun!💕

That is one enormous journal !!! I have taken out about 10 pages from the center (20-ish total) to leave a little room because I usually have some kind of decoupage, paint layers, embellishments so I don’t want to take a chance on the spine going kaput. Lovely share. Thank you
