Kendrick was 9 when Pac died. He took an old interview from Pac and edited it to match his own questions, which helps fit the overall concept of the album.

This Tupac interview was done in Germany and this random German person had it. Kendrick tracked them down, and met them and got it from them. Amazing story and amazing way he pieced it together. Genius

As a South African listening to him talk about Nelson, hits hard because when release went to prison, his wife left him, the character he came back with was different.

Wonderful job. This song is so brave on so many levels, and for Kendrick to absolutely come down on a distinct, clear side goes to show what loyalty truly means. Especially with MJ -- "People always told me, be careful what you do, don't run around breaking young's girls hearts... And mother always told me be careful of who you love, be careful what you do, cause the lies become the truth"... I mean, is you still a fan?
