  • I installed the spoiler this past weekend with my dad, we used this video to help with instruction along with Hondas instructions. We were super nervous about drilling the holes but it came out perfect!! If anyone installs this at home I would recommend that you leave the gaskets in the sun for a few minutes before installing them, it made them go in a lot easier! You could also put just a tiny bit of Vaseline on them to help slide into place. All in all it was a great experience and great bonding time! Good luck to anyone who does this at home, just have faith and take your time to make sure you do everything correctly!!
  • Just got my HPD spoiler installed on my 22 boost blue hatchback for $600 at dealer...$399 for spoiler and $179 for 1 hour labor that took them 5 hours to install it...happy with the spoiler...

Just picked up the same car in boost blue. Ordered the spoiler and will attempt to install. Great video👍🏼

Great video, thorough and concise. Thanks for the walkthrough!

Thanks for the video! I work at a honda dealership and I just bought a 22 hatch sport and was curious on what they have to do for the spoiler. Not sure why they say it takes them 4 hours but they only get paid for 1. Seems pretty straight forward, scariest part would be drilling the holes.

I'm in the process of doing this now and drilling the large holes through the plastic without scratching the metal surface underneath is nealy impossible. As a result, I touched up the damaged metal surfaces with Black Rustoleum 2X Primer Paint in Gloss Finish. You won't see it, but it's my OCD kicking in. Plus, it insures no rust in the future. As for the rubber/foam spacers, I may try to lift up the plastic hatchback surface with a plastic trim tool to make sliding them in a little easier. I'll report back if it works.

Just used this video as well to install my spoiler on my 23 civic was easier than expected even the drilling portion, its hard to miss the placement of the holes with the tensile. DONT go to a shop and pay 400$ to get it done just do it yourself.

this civic hb look good with the rear wing man, you are the only one i see install this wing on the civic, i paid $215 for my dealer to install the wing on my civic hb, the funny thing is you have the 07" IS350 same as me that i used to have but got flood last summer, and now i own 22" civic hb and your nephew has one too
  • @mytrung
I acutally just bought my civic as well and in the exact same color. Im getting my spoiler in as well but I wish I had an uncle who could help me with this too :( I have a cousin named Binh Nguyen but no luck asking him for help 😆
  • Good video but Honda should have just made this a model to order. Or have the car have the bits come off instead of drilling
  • @Nova_Zed
This came out fantastic! I’m a complete newbie, but am curious what the best resource is for after market Honda OEM spoilers. Anyone?
  • Nice, I have the 2022 Civic Hatchback Sport with wing, Lunar Silver
  • @user-jx8eg9hf6k
Man, I kinda want one, but drilling holes into my brand new car has me nervous. Lol
  • @C1aYalC
Just got my Civic and this Spoiler — trying to find anyone around that ISNT a dealer to install it is a PITA. Thinking I may give this a go myself but drilling into the car is terrifying.
  • @shashankk5556
In the video you mention a 35mm drill bit but the link to the part redirects to a 38mm drill bit. Does that make a difference?
