Meet Chunli!
A young girl is being abused by an alcoholic owner in Seoul, South Korea.
Where she and another friend are being held.
They are often beaten.
Even more heartbreaking, Chunli is pregnant.
Every day, they still climb the wall to beg for help.
No one cared until WEACT arrived.
The dog is very scared... extremely stressed.
Chunli was taken to the Vet.
After an ultrasound, 8 babies were found.
At only 12lbs, carrying 8 babies has been a difficult task.
We doubt the abuser knew about her pregnancy, considering she never received basic medical care.
We can’t imagine how difficult it would’ve been for her if she'd stayed there.
Chunli and her 8 ‘Chunli juniors’ health are extremely important to us.
Chunli who was a rescue from Seul has gone into labor.
We had some dangerous moments.
After the 1st birth, Chunli lost a lot of strength.
For an hour, the second baby’s head was stuck and wouldn’t come out.
At the vet, Chunli went through numerous contractions while receiving oxytocin.
We are next to caress and cheer for Chunli.
"Come on Chunli, you can do it."
She couldn't even stand after the 5th and 6th pups.
The situation worsened when Chunli couldn’t give birth to her two remaining pups for 2 and a half hours.
The vet pressed against her swollen belly to try to induce her labor, but all Chunli could do was let thick tears fall from pain.
The entire time, Chunli looked to her foster mom when she was in pain.
Her foster mom stayed by her side all night, telling her,
“Our baby is doing so well, we’re so proud. You can do it. You are so strong”.
2AM, when everyone was tired, the energy returned to Chunli’s eyes.
A few minutes later, she gave birth to her 7th and 8th babies.
It was a suffocating night.
We watched Chunli give birth to eight puppies too big for her small frame.
Once her swollen belly settled down, her bones stuck against the skin.
But despite her own pain, Chunli took care of her babies, made sure they were all drinking breast milk even during contractions, and wiped them clean.
That night, we witnessed a true mother’s love. Chunli has been an enthusiastic mother.
Even with food in her mouth, she won’t take her eyes off her babies!

All that love she’s been receiving has turned her back into an affectionate puppy.
Luckily, we got the whole family together!
They’ve all been growing strong and healthy at their foster homes.
They’ve grown almost as big as their momma but they still have that never ending puppy energy.
Today, a special day in this world...
After 5 months since Chunli's children were adopted...
They were reunited... Chunli's mother met her 8 children..
Mother-daughter love, brotherly love... they reunited at the pet festival in Seul.
They played together and reviewed childhood memories.
How precious these angels are.
