Im 62 and this young man is quickly becoming the artist of my lifetime 🇬🇧😊
  • @sheenadees2701
I truly love it when people acknowledge the creativity of his set choices, lighting, and such.

Ren is a brilliant actor, using acting as a tool to convey ideas, much like visuals, singing, or playing instruments. Ren excels in these and other forms of communicative art. The 'tales' Ren tells are not merely seen but experienced. When Ren first looks at us through the camera in Jenny's Tale, it is done with precise intent, pulling us into the story. We cease to be mere spectators; we become part of the narrative. We can almost feel what Jenny is feeling, even if we haven't experienced anything similar ourselves, yet we grasp and empathize with it. - I've enjoyed your reactions and thank you for sharing your experience. We get to see things from your perspective, drawing from your expertise and interests. Discovering new aspects and seeing familiar ones in a new light is both fun and appreciated. Your deep understanding and appreciation for the nuances of art are very evident. -Thank you.

At the very beginning, that "trumpet" sound is actually a vocal warm-up technique. So the minstrel warms up his voice, gives a cough to clear his throat & then begins his performance.
  • Hardcore Renegade here and just want to say i loved every single minute of your reaction and analysis. As Renegades we love to see you notice every little detail and point out all the things we love. Back on 74 / Message in a bottle—-can’t wait!!!! Subbed!
  • It was initially inspired by a newspaper article Ren read about about a young prostitute who was murdered. There was around 2 months between shooting Jenny and Sceech videos. Violet was done about 2 years later.
  • @ZephyrsLoki
You'll notice something new each time you watch this one! I was super happy that you noticed the fast forward part, no one picks that one up on the first watch! Something I noticed was towards the end, while Violet is bleeding out, Ren is bathed in red light. But when she dies, (the curtain closed) the light changes to blue- green. I was so excited when I picked that up! I just love how Ren uses the building as it's own instrument. Especially the stairwell "she never stood a chance" part. So gorgeous!!
  • @Benholio1
Not many people catch the fast-forward being the reverse of the rewind effect. Such a cool touch
  • @annaberkley7575
I love when reactors stop and pause. Since finding Ren, his music is so multifaceted that I often find reactors offer new perspectives that I hadn't explored.
  • Pause as many times you need to tell your thoughts. Just rewind 10 seconds before you continue. That's all we reaction-viewers need. And for what I know, it's exactly what you do. So just keep being you! ;)
  • @TheAxeification
Another great reaction, Sir. Yes. Glad you're choosing the Back on 74/Message in a Bottle live retake. Will show another side of him vocally. Looking forward to it!
  • @sheenadees2701
Another part of the backstory that I forgot that most people don't catch.Although I have seen one reactor catch it is that Jenny is a street walker. She was in high heels late at night walking the street she walked a 1000 times thats why she wanted to escape
  • @JonniPants
People are silly. It's your channel and you react how you react. It is what sets you apart! I appreciate that you take your time with it all. 💜
  • @tjh5716
To me, there are so many aspects of this piece that are amazing. But the level of performance is so very good. Imagine doing this with a guitar in the middle of the night in the street. He commits always.
  • @KNeafsy
Make sure you also check out the staged version of the Tales he did as a one time live event in front of an audience. It's quite something to see.
  • @badwolf1587
"THATS BRILLIANT "......."THATS MASTERFUL " .... "THATS BEAUTIFUL " ...❤❤❤❤
  • @Grimlock1975
Ren was also self taught with his guitar playing, he slowed down videos on YT to learn how to play :)
  • @jpmc9584
If I could have given this reaction 1,000 likes I would have done. Normally I wouldn't have the patience to sit through an almost 40 minute reaction to anything, but with Renaissance Man for some reason it's different. Loved your reaction to Hi Ren and now also this one. By far my favourite reactor. Loved it.
  • @MissMeKate
I love that you focus on the whole thing as a complete piece of art, rather than just the music or video. Everything means something and it works together to create this powerful tale.
  • Great reaction! Thank you. I lovingly invite you to let go of feeling the need to apologize or explain yourself to viewers. This is YOUR channel. You do you and those who don't resonate can visit other channels. For some reason there are Ren fans who feel justified in imposing their preferences onto others, which is completely opposite to Ren's vibe as both a creator and a human being. We can send them on their way with love 🙂 I ADORE it when reactors dive deep into ALL aspects of Ren's videos. Everything Ren (and his videographers - kudos to them) is done with intent and intricate attention to detail. SO many layers! Yet, they leave room for improvisation and happy accidents. Ren is VERY theatrical (which, naysayers, includes exceptional natural acting ability in the truest sense of the word) as well as cinematic in his creations. His internal rhythm is mind-blowing. Many of his creations are performance art masterpieces that defy genre. I'm with you for however YOU choose to explore Ren's genius. 🙋‍♀️💖
