This is what the TImeless Child missed. The Doctor isn't exceptional, he's not a god among Time Lords, in fact he was always a pretty poor example of a Time Lord. What made The Doctor exceptional was his humanity. Among millions of Time Lords, he was the only one who felt all the love, the joy, the compassion, the curiosity and the wonder that is so exemplified among the best of humanity, and it made him wonderful. He was never the smartest, or the strongest, or the most talented, but he was always the most human person Galifrey had to offer.
  • "Doctor, do you have children?" "No" "Have you ever had children?" "..."
  • @GorTesK
"He'll never be a Timelord." Correct, he will be THE Timelord.
  • @PandanaJim
They said he'd never make a Timelord. Now he is the greatest Timelord of all. Not because he followed the rules, but because he didn't.
  • I actually love your idea that when Twelve started smashing the TARDIS in ''Death in Heaven'' he's remembering every single loss and failure. Makes it so much more heartbreaking. Your vids are fantastic!
  • The one person who knows the worst pain of all, having to outlive your own children and grandchildren. The one person whose own people didn't think would make a Time Lord is now the universe's only hope to stay alive. His wrath is that of a god and the one person no one should ever anger by taking lives. He is that one hero who becomes everyone's nightmare if they break the most precious gift: life

what if the reason that the doctor left Galiifrey was not just fear for the hybrid, what if something bad happened to his family and he was so afraid of it that he just ran away with Susan, after that he started looking for a safe place for her, then Ian and Barbara came and the adventures started, he felt the responsability to keep them and every other companion safe because he couldn't keep his famiy safe.

This makes me realise how many people he has lost. More than any of us combined.

  • You have this thing where you show these scenes, which as an audience, we have completely forgotten, and link them beautifully. YOU ARE ON FIRE !
  • "You got your son you have a reason to live!" "And you haven't?" That look.... Is so heart breaking he locks eyes and then he the look of understanding that goes between them..... He lost his family and OH MY GOD I CANT STOP CRYING
  • @ayayla7846
Amazing work! Can't stop watching. "You've got your son! You've got reason to live!" "And you haven't?" The Doctor's devastated look...that whole scene is heartbreaking and your video manages to drive that home very well. And Jenny :'( Poor Doctor. Always, just when he allows himself to hope, to love, they get taken away from him...

The Doctor breaks my heart like nothing else does. All the things he's been through, all the people he lost, he's probably the most epic and tragic character ever wrote. I hope one day when i'll die this amazing show still will be going on... every generations needs his Doctor.

As we continue to grow we will learn many things and one of them is that every good thing will come to an end. Whether it's by a choice of mind, by a decision made between two, or by a lost loved one. But, as these things come and go remember to make every moment count because you'll never know just when it'll go and a new will start letting the cycle repeat. Because, every hello ends with goodbye, every love ends with heartbreak, every beginning soon comes to an end, every happiness is soon or rather later replaced with a sadness of some sort and every creation of life ends in death. Every good thing must come to an end.

It got me thinking. What if this whole time the doctor is speaking gallifreyan but the tardis translates it for us?
  • @shadowhunter240
am i the only one who notices the 9th doctors personality? He seems so cheerful, but he hides his sadness behind a smile. I do the same thing, but, it's feels worse when i think of the 9th doctor.
  • 0:38 to 0:42 is probably one of my favorite moments when David was the Doctor. It was so quick but volumes were spoke with just their eyes.
