I found out that if you put them in a toaster oven after you spray them with a little bit of olive oil spray and then lightly salted. They taste great 😋

You had me at Gangsta vegetable then the vid was bless!

You can also deal with aphids by leaving a cilantro plant over winter in the same bed when it's flowering it attracts a lot of predatory insects that eat aphids and it gives them a place to hide until the okra gets aphids

Great info! This is my first year growing okra - no flowers or pods yet, just leaves but I'm going to look out for the aphids! I bought insecticidal soap recently for the possibility of aphids on tomatoes so now I just gotta read the bottle on how to use it. We grew up frying okra as a snack in the 60's. Now I'm retired, growing stuff and cooking again.

Great tips and your foodie comments at the end made me grin, thanks! 😄

Never had it baked but I'll have to try it.

Put a little slice of a tomato in the water . When you boil the okra. No more slime, or a little Catsup / Ketchup in the water works also.

I love eating raw tender okra in my garden!

My friend dehydrated some for snacking WOW and I love it raw....

I only have two plants that just started producing, so I've been snacking on a fresh okra every morning. Hoping to harvest enough at once to make a side dish for dinner, probably need more plants though. Love it raw, need to try another variety.

Good video

I love to stir-fry my okra. Very good. I have been getting bumps on my okra. I go into the garden several times a day and never see any bugs, ants, or anything. But now late in the season, I am getting bumps on all my okra. Any help would be appreciated.

I live in Houston and this heat is very unforgiving. My okra plants are struggling in this insane heat
