No retirement visa offered in Vietnam!!!

In the hot season I love Da Lat because it is one of the coolest places in S.E. Asia. I will check out Da Nang and Nha Trang in that order. I am not so keen about to many tourist and I like cool weather.

I lived in Vietnam for 4 1/2 years and put 47,000 km on my Honda SH 150. I saw most of Vietnam and all the beach areas. My favorite retirement city: Qui Nhon. The beautiful beach was raked twice a day by a team, there were no foreigner prices, the people were excited to meet this foreigner, mr beachfront hotel cost $12 a night, lots to do and see in the area, big university there, etc. I studied the language fir 2 1/2 months in Hanoi, then a couple years later did the same in Saigon, District 1 in HCMC because you need knowledge of that southern dialect everywhere south of Hue.

You two do a great job of providing helpful advice. My girlfriend and I are headed to Vietnam from the States in the next four to six months and your reports have been very helpful. We signed up for the Life Time membership and are finding a lot of great info. Thanks.

Great information once again. Love the information you provide, it's so comprehensive over all of your videos

I am 90 days away from walking in your footsteps. Your videos have inspired and helped me in making his decision to move to Vietnam. At 47 years old I was at a crossroads here in America. I have visited 30 countries on 5 continents, and in November of 2023 I visited VN for a month. Loved it. I just returned this week from 8 weeks of scouting apartments and other cities in VN. My girlfriend is lives in Saigon. So for the first few months I will live in Saigon. Planning on getting an apartment in Da Nang after TET 2025. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

These videos have such great information. Thank you for sharing!

Nice review Dan! SE Asia has a lot to offer future retirees!

Traveling around Asia and the Pacific is a great way of life. Leaving Vietnam every three months is not a problem for me.

Have you ever noticed when you have Koreans, Japanese, Europeans, North Americans and Australians living in the same place has something really special about it. Southeast Asian is very special for this but you still have Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey and for some Morocco. When people leave their home countries and relocate to places that are filled with others that have done the same there might be something special about those locations?
-
Thank you. That was a very nice review of cities in Vietnam.

I'm a mountain guy. Da Lat sounds wonderful!

Another great video thanks !! I always smile when I see Qiang (Hobo Ventures) or Dan have posted another one ! Very interesting to hear your views on places in Vietnam. I am also smiling as I am going back there in 3 days time for another 2 month break. Where? Nha Trang, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh. I really like Hue and Da Nang - but year round as Dan says, the weather is better in Nha Trang as you don't get the cold 2 months you get in Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue. Also, if you stay in Nha Trang near the market you avoid most of the tourists and still only a 15 minute walk from the beach. But I love them all and will be retiring to SE Asia (mainly Vietnam) next year. cheers guys, its a small world - maybe bump into you again sometime !!

Another great video guys! I'm not a beach guy (but my Vietnamese wife sure is!) so Da Lat get's my vote! I loved the cool weather there. The lakes. The hilly countryside! Room to breath. And they grow cherries there! We stayed at the Da Lat Wonder resort. I'd move there tomorrow. Down side, is lack of a fully equipped hospital if needed. And I'm officially old now. Unlike you guys! We did visit most of the other places on your Vietnam list. And ALL of them are better than Delawhere? Have fun and thanks for sharing!

Hi Dan & Qiang, I spent 7 weeks in Skopje in June/July 2021. Matka Canyon is quite stunning once you get past the parking area and the attendant mobs. Mt Vodno makes for a very good day hike, but is no walk in the park in the summer heat (bring lots of water). I would also recommend a visit to Ohrid before you depart North Macedonia (assuming you havenโt been and gone already).

I'm summering in GR and Skopje MK and it occurs to me that a great combo deal might be wintering in SEA and summers in Europe. It's very affordable in Turkey, Albania and here in Skopje if you don't mind being inland. I must say this video makes me anxious to catch a flight to Vietnam. And since I'm as old as dirt, I especially appreciate Chung's mentioning the importance of having a good hospital nearby (HCMC). I am getting tired of always complimenting you... Every video is award-worthy. Great job!
