Tracking dolphins with a drone

From our vacation rental I see pods of dolphins passing by in the ocean. So I launch the DJI Mavic Mini in hopes of capturing some good video. It's easier said than done to get good video.

To spot the dolphins you have to be up high so as to get a good view of where they are. But your too far away for decent video. To get decent video you have to be closer to the ocean. But then your view of the ocean is limited to what's right under or in front of your field of view and you'll miss dolphins surfacing for air.
