Banksy the graffiti artist is probably the most popular cultural figure out of Bristol right? Anyway, known for great art and great architecture! Its quiet as its Sunday but its a great smaller English town to visit!

Bristol is a city straddling the River Avon in the southwest of England with a prosperous maritime history. Its former city-centre port is now a cultural hub, the Harbourside, where the M Shed museum explores local social and industrial heritage. The harbour's 19th-century warehouses now contain restaurants, shops and cultural institutions such as contemporary art gallery The Arnolfini. โ Google
Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation. Active since the 1990s, his satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have appeared on streets, walls and bridges throughout the world. Banksy's work grew out of the Bristol underground scene, which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. Banksy says that he was inspired by 3D, a graffiti artist and founding member of the musical group Massive Attack.
Banksy displays his art on publicly visible surfaces such as walls and self-built physical prop pieces. Banksy no longer sells photographs or reproductions of his street graffiti, but his public "installations" are regularly resold, often even by removing the wall they were painted on. Much of his work can be classified as temporary art. A small number of Banksy's works are officially, non-publicly, sold through an agency created by Banksy named Pest Control. Banksy's documentary film Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) made its debut at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. In January 2011, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for the film. In 2014, he was awarded Person of the Year at the 2014 Webby Awards.

The first 5 mins used to be my much hated morning commute. You seem to have missed the queues, being cut up by other drivers and the psycolists riding in the middle of the road next to the empty bike lane. Iโve driven around Britain extensively and find Bristol drivers amongst the worst and I include London in that.

Thanks for this driving tour of Bristol, a city I'm discovering through your video ๐ ! Nice day, Greetings from Paris

My home town where the fame came from, starting with Wild Bunch in the 80โs and out of them came Massive Attack, Nelly Hooper, Mushroom โฆ.and Banksyโฆ.and photographer Beezer of Wild Dayz. Yes Bristol renowned for its DJs and famous people still thriving in music. Portishead a place and famous group, Ronnie Size, Tricky, and my son DJ Boofy and upcoming Sector 7 and crew Bandulu. Actor such as Cary Grant the list is endless. June is the start of the music festivals so come on in. Green spaces galore, a city to visit yet so many end up staying.
