When Deli said her step dad wears “socks and thongs” I had to remind myself that’s what Australians call flip flops and she’s NOT talking about tiny underwear

The way my jaw DROPPED when she showed the lot she was talking about. How did I never think of changing that lot to a house

I once listened to a surprisingly interesting radio documentary about the history of the corridor. Before corridors rooms just ran off each other, so you'd have more public rooms where you could entertain guests and then they'd get more and more private towards bedrooms (this is mainly for rich people's houses, most people might just have one or two rooms). Then they started adding passages that servants could use to go between rooms without disturbing people in the other rooms. These servants were called corridors, from the Latin "correre" meaning "to run", like how the film industry has runners to get people things. So corridors were originally people! Eventually the name corridor moved to the passageway itself
  • The sound of your voice is Bowser’s lullaby and I think that’s so sweet. Dogs are movement oriented so they usually sleep lightly if you’re on the move, but I bet the reason Bowser sleeps so well when you’re recording is in part because he knows you’ll be in one place for a bit, so it’s a perfect chance to get some deep sleep. My dog used to sleep in the room next to where I work because of my typing on the keyboard, but now he sleeps on the futon in my office because that’s where I’m going to be for a majority of the day and it’s his chance to get some deep sleep. Love Bowser’s snores. Never a distraction from the video.
  • Bowser snoring is actually so calming. Please don't kick him out, we love him ❤️
  • @kestre.l
I've never heard the snoring even when Deli mentioned it but now I hear it and it's so funny and soothing
  • This lounge is a death trap in winter. Everyone will change into their swim suits and not change back. Sims keep freezing to death. I once had three Sims die there while I was trying to become famous by performing and all I got were negative moodlets for days.

The basketball area could also make a really bangin courtyard I feel. Would bring more natural light in the house, maybe even some greenery if you're feeling a bit veggie

I know Deli said some people have complained about the snoring before but I LOVE IT! It’s so cute and makes me laugh ♥️
  • Please don't kick Bowser out, we love his snoring! It's genuinely so adorable and calming, at least to me 😅

I love the style of penthouses you do with blending them into the existing building, you've done it so well every time, and I agree that this one is the best! I do think that there a lot of penthouses irl that don't blend in like this though - I've seen a lot of New York brownstones that have penthouse additions, some quite modern which is a cool juxtaposition of styles. I think the key with doing a different style / not blended in is to make it's footprint a fair bit smaller than the outer size of the building below it, so it's less visible or not visible at all from the street below. This also then gives you less vacuous interior space with no windows to deal with, and more balcony space around the outside for entertaining space, etc. Idk, just an observation and maybe something to try next time you do penthouse renos, though you've done all the ones we have now anyway 😅 I'm definitely keen for more apartments though! At least until the family homes that inevitably come with the release of the new EP soon 🥰

I’d love to see you try a studio/single room apartment next. I don’t think any of the Sims 4 apts come that way, so it’d be a fun challenge.
  • I never understood having multiple lounge rooms until I moved to Hawaii. We have an open plan living room/kitchen area and that's where our main lounge room is, but even though we have AC, it gets SO HOT in that part of the house in the mornings. We have a secondary lounge room on the other end of the house and at first, we weren't sure what to do with it and I didn't expect we'd spend much time there, but it's so nice to be able to sit in there in the mornings when it's cooler on that side of the house and then move to the main lounge room later in the day as the sun moves. Now I understand why old historic homes had so many different lounge rooms and dining rooms -- so they could move to cooler or warmer parts of the house throughout the day! Also I know I could probably fix all of this with blackout curtains, but they make it dark and depressing inside so I don't want them!
  • I never even considered turning the lounge into a penthouse 😮 I never use that lot and I think I’m gonna turn it into a penthouse for the family I created for the new update. This gives me something to do while I wait for the update so their babies don’t age up before the 14th.

For console players: that camera mode can be found in the top right corner of your screen when you're in live mode. The icon looks like a video camera :)

Also, Bowser snoring is the cutest thing ever! He's so adorable 🥰

Deli’s in her hallway era 😂💚

Once Growing Together drops, can you do some videos where you go over your builds and what building around the restrictions was like? It’s super cool hearing about the little details that help performance!
  • @CatMomMeagan
Imagine being so rich you live in this penthouse but you have to share a room with your sibling…
  • @Sasharra
I love the Desert Luxe wallpaper! I'm shocked so many people dont like it. It looks like it has so much texture.
  • I complain about that all the time- the fire places are never long enough for the bigger tv's!! That's why I always use the one from snowy escape because it fits with the big tv's, but I also size down the city living tv. We need more tv's!! and also more fireplace options. I'd like a free standing one, or more of the modern vibes
