I really enjoyed this drama. It was nice to have leads that are not just goody-two-shoes and will actually kill people XD This drama wrapped up very nicely and I love how the second and third male leads (especially Yanlin!) weren't too terribly annoying and actually had a purpose in the story. Also, the whole thing about the drama being a story written by Xuening's modern-self as a way to pass censorship is so funny to me but I like how it almost is as if they can't get away from one another no matter the timeline XD

I had stopped watching Chinese historical dramas because i felt that I couldn't get a different vibe that was addictive and just finished this drama in two days its just great,u can't foretell the storyline, the chemistry is incredibly beautiful showing both love and loyalty between friends anyone who hasn't watched yet u are definitely missing on a gem

My sister is incredibly critical about dramas, especially C-dramas. You know it’s good when she asked me what the title was while I was watching. I started watching it last week and she sat there doing her own thing until suddenly all of her attention was on the tv, watching with me.

I finally can watch this amazing compilation video after completing the drama. I find this to be one of the better dramas of 2023. I have to admit, I like seeing Zhang Linghe in these “dark” character roles. 😅

Their story is one that will stay with me for a long time I think, their chemistry was insane, the yearning, tension ahhhh they are so evenly matched I'm so obsessed w them 😭 this drama tops TTEOTM for me fr, I love these two characters too too much. Beautiful edit!!!!

It was indeed a perfect ending to this deeply dramatic (Weren't Bai Lu's crying scenes incredible?! They shook me to the core!) and beautiful story! Thank you for this wonderfully comprehensive edit! The Story of Kunning Palace will stay on repeat on my favorites list! ❤

SOKP is really under-rated. A no-fault until the very end. filming, script, acting, props, settings, are all perfect.

It is an excellent drama for me. The story, the cast, the OSTs and especially Linghe's and Bai Lu's chemistry all of them are great. I enjoyed all of the episodes. The final episode and the special episode made me so happy. I'm satisfied with the ending and this is surprising for the C-Dramas you know because they always make us cry and give us 2 minutes to happy or never give us that 2 minutes too. Anyways it was an amazing journey for me. I would like to see them in another drama as leads again.
