i think working for yourself is the best thing
  • This video inspired me to create a video about the great resignation. It took me about 6 months to create this  on top of my full-time job, setting aside at least 4x of 1 hr workout per week, cooking healthy foods that take hours to prepare, rejecting so many night outs just to spend more time pursuing my passion while having so many people discourage me from creating meaningful videos online like this channel.  As you can tell, personal development isn’t a joke because there are so many sacrifices to be made, which are often uncomfortable but knowing that there are also so many like-minded individuals who have passion for becoming a better version of themselves each day and who are willing to show support makes me more motivated to keep pursuing my passion for creativity and intense desire to provide as much value as I could. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to have a career that pays well so I can buy whatever I want but now that I’m grown up and went through tons of setbacks from losing tons of people in my life, getting lost in the world with full of life traps, being ridiculed for pursuing my dreams, having so many people tell me that I’m merely wasting my time creating a meaningful content online, and so on, I can say that long-lasting happiness can’t be bought or earned because it comes from within us

Business isnt easy, or for everyone.

Context is key. JP would never advocate for quitting the 9-5 UNLESS it’s unbearable.

I’ve stood up to tyranny and it’s no fun, people can be very defensive and in denial about their bad behavior. Talk to your supervisor first before saying something. Better to speak up than keeping everything to yourself.

A company once offered incentives for doing more work. So, you got trivial bonuses, for taking more work off the work queue, and doing it. So, the base salary was $100,000, and if you worked 80 hours a week, you could make $140,000. Trust me, it's not worth it. But, the server logged time, so, we could find all kinds of reports. The first, was proof, that such a system, was sexist. Everyone working extra, fell into bands. But, the most interesting band, is perhaps 60%, will not work 1 minute over 37 hours a week, if the bonus is less then your normal rate. And that band, needs to leave, because the ones working more, are competing for the next promotion, which no one on the team, actually got. (they hired someone else).

I feel like I have to work to be able to pay my bills I have a small business but my sales aren’t coming in quick enough. I’m just lost I feel like I always put these jobs first before me bc my bills don’t stop

People are never okay with the life they have. When depression hits, you don't have resources for the desire for change, you're afraid of loss, afraid of what others think.
  • I walked out on a job and right before that I was out spoken on purpose right in front of my managers manager and I think the CEO 😂 then I walked out and went home and got drunk and had a wild night of karaoke part of one. Lmao! I told my favorite lead I did that and he says to me, “yeah sometimes that’s good to do.” 😂 Nest decision I’ve ever made in my life. Just got sick of the bs. Owe it to you Jordan so thanks! 😂
  • @gembuyer
Work a job that challenges you. Having a job is better for most ppl than having a business, most businesses are a waste of time, you earn less and work more
  • @chrisxishida
thank you I really needed this 🙏🏼🙏🏼
  • @Liam-zl1kj
😂 I kinda need my shitty job, I would love to leave it, but that's easier said than done.
  • @AnaRanja
I worked 24 in medicin e urgency and army, or 6 in Hight intensity sport , but never 8 hours.
  • @Headinavise
    It's always been 8 to 5 plus a 2 hr commute
  • @logiconlyzone
Okay got it Jordy. Room is clean. Now, time to turn in my resignation and starve to death. :D
  • @andersnielsen6044
Well if you want to accomplish something working 9 to 5 is to be considered a hobby..
  • @junevandermark952
Jordan made his fortune from selling mega-amounts of words. Why would Jordan "want" to quit that Job?
