As an impressionable young man, Eric had the opportunity to attend a lecture by one of his favorite authors, Buckminster Fuller. After the lecture, he spoke with Mr. Fuller and asked simply, "What should I do with my life?" The advice Mr. Fuller gave shaped Eric's life trajectory and eventually culminated in his EarthBalls being installed around the world and even taken to the international space station.

Eric is the founder and creator of The EarthBall and was inspired by the early photographs of the whole Earth taken by the NASA astronauts during the Apollo Moon voyages. These images of Earth motivate him to create a truly spherical & photorealistic representation of our planet as it appears from deep space.

We are currently restoring Buckminster Fuller's dome home in Carbondale Illinois. I'm posting a video every day.

I am great fan of Bucky. And thanks to Madame DC Cordova. I learnt of Buckminster Fuller from her. And I have wondered why Bucky is not well known in the entire world. I have spoken about him in almost each one of my workshops. Through me, in India many more people know about him. He has made a great contribution to the planet. I salute Bucky.

I enjoyed a lecture he gave at UCLA in 1968; he described self-sufficient floating cities that could be placed in the oceans. In 1994, I built a geodesic dome addition to my home and I'm considering building another here at the garden where we now live, Pa Kanu Ola.

This is a great presentation! I first met Eric at a Whole Life Expo in San Francisco in the 80's where he was presenting his Earth Ball. Eric has performed an amazing task of bring planet Earth into homes, events, lobbies, parades, and classrooms literally around the globe!!!

Great! Thanks. I had find him because Buckminster Fuller... There is a translation/legend to Portuguese or Spanish?? My English isn't good enough to understand as I would like... Thanks ( I am Brazilian)
