[Team Introduction]
Always Yosakoi is a new Yosakoi team formed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of "Honiya Yosakoi." This team consists of approximately 140 members ranging in age from 3 to 75 years old, gathered from all over the country. Their motto is "Always, Anytime, Forever. We want to enjoy Yosakoi!" They always perform their dances with heartfelt dedication. Based in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture, they actively participate in various events and festivals. Their dances respect tradition while incorporating modern elements, designed to be enjoyable for a wide audience.

[Yosakoi Festival]
The Yosakoi Festival is a vibrant event held annually from August 9th to 12th in Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture. It began in 1954 with the aim of revitalizing the local economy and uplifting the spirits of the citizens.

During the festival, about 190 teams and 20,000 dancers participate, performing energetic dances while holding naruko (wooden clappers). Each team competes with unique costumes, music, and choreography, performing at 17 different venues and stages throughout Kochi City. The festival includes a pre-event on August 9th, a national competition, and a post-event on August 12th, enveloping the entire city in a festive atmosphere.

Due to its popularity, the Yosakoi Festival has spread nationwide, with many regions hosting their own versions such as the "YOSAKOI Soran Festival." Additionally, it has been held overseas in countries like the United States, Canada, Australia, France, South Korea, and Taiwan, where unique styles of Yosakoi blending Japanese tradition and local cultures are showcased.

The Yosakoi Festival also plays a significant role in regional revitalization and international exchange.
