Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here:    • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.

We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)

So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.

Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.

4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!

After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

One of my favorite things about these current videos is how engaging Nate is. He's almost as chatty as Kara now and I love it! I remember those earlier times when Kara did most of the talking. It's so good to see the evolution, the growth, the confidence. I'm here for this couple and these adventures.
  • @jasoncusator221
#1 collab would be Kara and Nate and @OutdoorBoys digging a snow shelter together eating homemade bread with honey butter
  • @brandyfiles
Kara, you have me crying!!!! Honey.. take as many breaks as you and Nate need. Your crew will be waiting for your return. I can't imagine you both not getting tired and bunt out and missing family at some point... everyone does regardless of what their "job" is. Anyway, now that I've dried my eyes (lol) can I just say that I love watching every single video and thankful I get to see the wild adventures you take. Thank you for making my day better!

I want to give a special shout-out to Kara! I know the videos challenge Kara and Nate, and Kara has made really clear there’s a lot of things she’s never done before or are really far outside of her comfort zone vs Nate who has some familiarity or it’s been a goal of his. Kara’s experiences take a different level of patience, resilience, and perseverance. So shoutout to her and thank you for inspiring those of us who are exploring things in adulthood! And Kara it’s okay to say no and take a break 💕

We adore you guys! I'm so happy you took a break and felt the love. I can't speak for everyone, but we missed you...however missing you for a few days is way better than you guys getting burnt out and then we'd miss you for much longer. Always take the time you need to fill your cup. Sending love and good juju from Canada. I'd love to see you guys do a Newfoundland trip.I'd offer to be a guide even. Look up Bonavista. My family is from a tiny place called Stock Cove, right on the ocean. Icebergs, whales, lobster and the most loving people. xoxox
  • @lisareich6098
The fact that you give yourself breaks when you need them is just as inspiring for me as your travels. If you show what it looks like to take care of yourself, you can make a big difference. thank you for your openness.
  • @SP-os9pf
No amount of love for someone would make me do this! Nate, you owe Kara a luxurious belated Valentines break after this 😂!!!
  • You guys are awesome. The community is behind you 1000%. No matter if you post once a week or once a month, we got your back 💪
  • @resonatinglo
I started crying when Kara started crying... We love you guys! 🌈😭 Greetings from the cold cold North of Sweden. It's a bit colder here than in what you slept and we still have 2 and a half more months of winter ahead of us. 🌲🔥🖤
  • @simonbairstow122
Kara, I cried with you when you ate Carbonara, in Italy, after lockdown! And Im crying with you now in your genuine appreciation. xxx Luv you. xx
  • @nollj33
This makes me appreciate Luke from the outdoor boys even more. That’s a dope snow cave, hats off 🤝

I’ve subscribed to this channel 6 years ago, caught up & liked on every single video you’ve ever made and you even travelled to my hometown in Switzerland (unfortunately I missed you). Dear Kara & Nate, I hope this message reaches you: thank you from the bottom of my heart for always putting a smile on my face whenever I’m feeling down or sad and for creating a personal safe space with your amazing content & lovely personalities. As a long-term-fan I’m thrilled to see you grow, succeed and get the recognition you’ve always deserved. Never feel bad for taking a break after literal years and years of hard work. As a fan I’m always gonna stick around, no matter how long or how often you need a break. I’m glad to see you back and I will for sure keep enjoying your astonishing journey. Lots of love, your Swiss/Italian fan Nico. 💞
  • @Erin-S
Kara and Nate, take all the breaks you need for however long they are. I know the algorithm gods can be fickle but you have spent years building a really dedicated community that will be here. I’m so glad you’re allowing changes and you may need to allow even more changes and we will still be here. ❤
  • @sapphiretrini
Honestly after that pee line discovery 🤣🤣🤣 every-time it comes up in frame I can’t stop smiling or snickering 🤭
  • @jenny4ynwa895
You look so cold Kara! Ya know, we don’t hate a good split adventure with a Kara cam and Nate cam if you guys have different ideas of fun sometimes that’s totally okay.
  • @Christy12777
You both are literally my favorite couple to watch. If needed y'all can take all the break you need, and we will be here for you <3 Thank you for taking us along on your journeys, and being such amazing wholesome people.
  • @supark8302
Aww I got emotional when Kara got emotional 🥺🥲 And that cute intentional placing of Valentine's roses in every scene did not go unnoticed and was very much appreciated 😂🌹🍫
  • @LeaDesigner
Long time fan! We all need to push ourselves to try new things and you guys have proven that physically you're willing to go the extra mile.... or 3000! But there are other ways to branch out. I believe Nate typically does most of the planning. May I suggest that Kara plans this year? I'm bummed watching Kara suffer through miserable extreme experiences. I really want you guys (Kara ; ) to be enjoying yourselves, especially so you'll keep making amazing videos for all to enjoy!
  • @nadinepotter5697
I hope Kara gets an amazing experience of her choice soon after that one. She looked completely exhausted at the end of the day. I don’t know where you get the energy from and you must be next level fit.
  • @jtpadilla1
You guys bring so much joy to so many people. I found you on my 40th day of lockdown at the start of the pandemic when I had just been laid off from the airport and this was pure joy and a way for me to retain my sanity and if fewer videos and more rest will help you retain yours I think so many of us will say thank you for just not stopping and take whatever time you need. You guys are still pure joy and every video is a breath of fresh air.
