These guitarists came to mind [though I can't think who I would remove from your list to make room for them]: Jeff Beck, Steve Howe, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Robin Trower, Dick Dale, Les Paul, Buckethead, Roy Clark, Chet Atkins, Steve Hacket, Terry Kath, Stephen Stills, John Petrucci, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Jerry Garcia, Jerry Reed, Alex Lifeson, Al Di Meola, Guthrie Govan, Steven Wilson, and of course, Marty McFly

RIP Jeff Beck 💔 One of our guitar legends has exited the stage. 😭
  • @dangerzone012
Kirk Hammett? Stephen Stills?? George Harrison??? Slash???? Jeff Beck????? Did you guys even do your homework on this one?!
  • @jerrycaplan
Would put Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Gilmour, as my top guitarists. My humble opinion

I had the unbelievable experience of jamming with Eric and Jimi in NYC for a couple hours. The NYPD broke it up, as was after midnight and my band's loft was a few doors down from a firehouse. We were keeping them awake. At that point, I thought they were equally incredible guitarists. Jimi was such a terrible loss.

Al Di Meola / Alex Lifeson / Albert King / Steve Vai / George Harrison / Rory Gallagher / Angus Young...all of these MUST be on the list.
  • @MikeyStoneking
It kind of sucks that Mick Mars, Slash, Angus Young, and Jeff Healey couldn't even garner an honorable mention.
  • @SusanBishop555
I saw Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock. Wonderful! I think Jeff Healy and Angus Young should be here too! 😀
  • @user-wp5ix9hy8c
I like all of them thanks your videos are very good guitar player 😊❤
  • It’s very difficult to put a list like this together - you’re never going to satisfy anyone - but Glenn Campbell was a guitar genius and of course a key member of the famous Wrecking Crew.
  • @elturko6847
Jeff Beck and George Harrison should've at least gotten an honorable mention
  • So picked out well done that included such a vast genre of artists from the 1940s pop culture to 2020’s
  • @johnshearer4447
thanks for bringing back some GREAT MEMORIES!! I have forgotten, I AM 73 years old now!
  • It's criminal that Jeff Beck is not here. He's on a different soundwave altogether. He is completely original and actually, he is too good for your silly lists!! EDIT Thank you for the likes. I wrote this several months ago, and now very recently Jeff has passed away.😪 I find it sad that all these youtube channels ignored him in their "best guitarist" or "most influential guitarist lists" but since he has died, have suddenly remembered him, making tributes!! Boo to them making money off him!!✌

Glen Campbell, Roy Clark and Vince Gill, Joe Walsh and Don Felder. Coming up with lead guitar melodies that define/make a song is a gift and incredible talent. Angus from AC/DC, Slash, and Brian May are also perfect examples.
