I Built PARIS Out Of LEGO!

I built PARIS landmarks out of LEGO, AT the landmarks themselves, including the Eiffel Tower, the Montparnasse Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Pont Neuf, Disneyland Paris, and LOADS MORE, as well as building my own custom street, including a Metro Entrance, Wallace Fountain, Newsstand and Morris Column!

Lol when security sees a million lego pieces in his suitcase
  • @GenericStud
The dedication to build the entire Eiffel Tower in only a few sittings is insane
  • I’d love to see Chris’s interactions with customs agents when they say “anything to declare?” Also, nice little detail of blurring the Eiffel Tower at 7:05 because of a weird legal technicality that prevents people from publishing images of the Eiffel Tower at night. Who knew that light itself can be copyrightable. (The lamps affixed to the Eiffel Tower are protected by a copyright of visual likeness and any image where they are visible, I.e. at night, cannot be published without permission.)

8:58 "FIELD NOTES: A massive thanks to Danielle & The Tim Traveller for their help filming and carrying everything! I've wanted to do the infinite-suitcase gag ever since I started YouTube! In reality, I took 3 suitcases and a backpack full of LEGO… The Metro railings of my Parisian street diorama are broken ~ I designed it at home and accidentally left a few pieces behind, one of the many challenges of travelling with LEGO Building the train on the Eurostar was super awkward. We were surrounded by really serious business people working on their laptops and I was just there loudly clicking LEGO together. The train guard was delighted however, I think I made his day. I should clarify - I really loved the Montparnasse Tower! It was quiet, cheap, had great views and multiple Zero Euro machines. The Eiffel Tower was incredibly crowded and expensive I only like filming in perfect blue-sky weather. I had to delay this video multiple times as Paris was too cloudy. It was all booked last minute once the forecast cleared up. It genuinely makes a huge difference to the quality of the footage and feel of the video" [Field notes notes – screen grabbed & OCR'd with Capture2Text, free and open source of course. Any cApitalization errors are mine.]

Yay, Tim Traveller cameo!! Your own Paris Street diorama was fantastic, and I loved the rat with the chefs hat! I've never been to Montparnasse Tower, so now I have to make the trip, if only for the Zero Euro notes!

I'm loving this series, and the impressive creativity on display. It's not just "I built the Eiffel Tower at the Eiffel Tower," it's so much more! Too bad LEGO hasn't made a Ratatouille set yet...
  • @InvaderFlasher
Putting the space invader mosaic is a real hommage to Paris Street-Art ! Invader is one of the greatest parisian street-artist, thank you!
  • The fact that he even wants the weather to be perfect just shows how dedicated Chris is. I’m not the biggest Lego lover, but your videos make me so happy that I actually kind of start to like lego 👀 I wish more people would make the same quality content as you put out ❤

going to paris was one of the greatest experiences I've had, and being able to relive in through this but with LEGO ON TOP OF IT ALL was truly amazing.

  • There is a reason this channel is my all time favourite. I mean nothing compares you can never hate on it, the level of detail is flawless and the dude literally sounds like he enjoys what he does and wants to inspire people to do the same not to mention he can make me laugh out loud all the time. And the rewatchability is insane Edit: thank you for the heart chris and thanks for everyone who liked

Chris!!! You absolutely outdid yourself! Loved everything about this video. Please please please submit your Paris diorama to Lego Ideas. It is sooo perfect! Perfectly detailed and humorous without being too overcomplicated and the sewers and catacombs + the mechanisms built were just genius! With your following I'm sure we could all vote for this to become a real lego set! Loved the field notes. Montparnasse IS really ugly-lol- but you have now motivated me to go up and see the view :) Can't wait for the next episode of your travel series!

Ive never commented something like this, but I just wanted to say how much I really enjoy your videos Chris - they’re fun, engaging and supremely high quality. I’m glad your channel is growing as you so very much deserve it and it’s been an honor to have been a subscriber since 50K!

I love how well Chris treats his cats. I bet Ralph and Bella don’t know that millions of people know about them and watch them. And Chris will do pretty much anything for them. Props to Chris for spoiling the heck out of his cats. And just being the perfect cat owner.
  • @chrismurgatroyd

The first time a saw half-asleep-chris was when he made his Rollercoaster in his house, and I initially forgot about him, until now, and I love lego, and I love these places! Keep it alive, Chris!
